Very Unexpected Circumstances
Reroute from Fairfield Inn to Crowne Plaza day before trip/flights. Other hotels had several shuttle buses come and go before Crowne Plaza shuttle showed up? Check in was by airline not 1st come 1st served? Room, gum stuck on burrow under TV, stain on laminate flooring by window (blood?), hairs on back of toilet seat and in tube, greasy marks on walls, night stand between beds not wiped down (leftover spill and food marks). Full breakfast included, not in main restaurant but in small conference room with ‘cold’ food. Rerouted to a cheaper hotel and non-refundable, wow didn’t see that coming.

DO NOT BOOK! It will be cancelled!
SCAM! DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! I didn't know when I booked it but once it happened to me I saw it all over the reviews! They will cancel your booking right before and move you to a different hotel. We were moved to the crowne plaza with not the proper amount of beds we had originally booked, a separate "Full buffet" breakfast away from their main hotel guests tucked in a corner like hideaways of eggs bacon apples coffee and juice and that's it! Different parking charges obviously as well. DO NOT BOOK the Fairfield your reservation will be canceled and you will be moved to a random hotel with sub-par quality

Very hard to say anything about the hotel, for they booked me at another hotel because they stated they did not have my rooms available to me even though i booked them 6 months in advance. they also gave me no heads up about my booking for the 2 rooms which I had paid up front for. HOWEVER the other hotel was very nice and clean.

Never happened, arrived in Toronto from Costa Rica and discovered that we were now staying at the Crown Plaza. The email they sent wasn’t able to be opened so the first indication we had was when we called for the shuttle. Part of the reason for booking the Fairmont was the included breakfast buffet, however, the buffet at the Crown Plaza wasn’t an option afforded to us but got to order a basic breakfast as the included option, after 30 minutes of waiting after ordering we left. Heard rumours of this happening just before we left, and, through no fault of our own were shuffled off. Don’t understand the “overbook” but at the minimum the same level of service that was originally contracted for should be provided.

I was originally booked at the Fairfield. Got an email transferring us to another hotel - The Crowne Plaza on Carlson. On the return leg, our room at the Crowne Plaza was below standard for several reasons. I wrote to Fairfield about this and never got a response. Hence the 1 star rating.

Close to the airport. I was booked to stay at Fairfield Inn & Suites but they sent yet another email telling me they were unable to give the room to me and I was going to stay at the Crowne Plaza. This has happened to me multiple times when I book at Fairfield and I am getting tired of it. Crowne Plaza and other places are fine but I prefer Fairfield. Soon I won't because I'm sick of being dumped out for no particular reason. I have usually booked far enough in advance of my travel dates that this should not be happening....but Fairfield keeps doing the same things.

I had originally booked at the Fairmont and received an email that my reservation was cancelled and they have booked us at the Crowne Plaza. Hotel looks nice but once in the room, it had 2 security guards on our floor. I have never had that before!! Once we got to the room, one of the numbers was missing for the room number in the hallway. Once in the room there was writing on the walls, walls were banged up. Hole in the bathroom above the shower. I wiped the headboard with a wipe, dirty! Tranition from flooring to tile was very poorly done and dirty. I booked a room with queen beds and we got double beds. I would not hve not choosen this hotel. ( and actually I didn't!)
