Residence Inn Downtown Toronto deserves no less than excellent. Kudos to the wonderful staff from valet, bell hop, front desk, dining room staff and housekeeping. Everyone did a great job in making my stay a very memorable one. Special thanks to Mike, Mario and Naga.

Sofa bed mattress broken
We experienced an unfortunate incident. When my family from Spain, planned the trip to Canada and we decided to join them in Toronto, we chose Marriott as our first line of hotel chain. Residence Inn is our favorite brand due to the convenience for families. When we found out, that our family slept the night before in a broken mattress, we felt insulted. We called the front desk and requested a functional mattress for our family, or-another bedroom. We never asked for an upgrade. He offered as a solution to move for a bigger room. We did in our own at 10:30pm. This is not something a customer should do before going to sleep. We understood by his own words, the night will be waived, and it was reasonable. Then, i received an invoice with the total amount for the two nights. Then the company Marriot offer of 30% and upgrade for our next stay in Toronto . This compensation is not going to ameliorate or diminished out disappointment. The truth is, we paid for a service that is not even at a level of a human being. We at not planning to go back to Toronto not to this hotel.

First and foremost was the staff. The people at the front desk were so courteous. They were so helpful when we requested to swap rooms to a lower floor due to some elevator fear. The front desk staff were very accommodating. The bell man brought up a cart with the new room keys. Breakfast was also wonderful..

As a family, we felt safe in the hotel and it was close to the cn tower and Ripleys. We had an issue getting into our room but after the 3 trip down to the front desk, they finally sent maintance. Our room was clean but there was some obvious areas that were repaired. The free breakfast was standard and meet our needs. The hot tub was hot and pool refreshing.

Staff were extremely friendly, but my concern is i lost mine and my kid’s crocs inside the room, those are new. It is just so disappointing that we checked in into a well known hotel but this is the first time i lost my things inside the hotel, not even a camera in the hallway. They never get back yet.
