your own private Island
The camper was nice and comfortable. The Island had a good breeze, so the mosquitos were almost non-existent, and the trees are tall and plentiful for shade and a good resting place for a bald eagle one morning we were there. We rented the owners fishing boat and it was very nice for checking out the the different islands and bays. Owner was very accommodating for making sure we had everything we needed and supplied multiple containers of gas and even ice in his own coolers, so we didn't have to worry about running out. We are used to tent camping so this was much more comfortable. The grills and coleman stove worked well too. There was a dock that the boat was parked on and fishing was supposed to be good off the end of it, but it was quite windy for our stay. The island is probably 10 feet higher than the water, so the stairs are a bit steep, but not too much for us 60 year olds. The peace and quiet and the fire pit location are great. One side of island you can see the sun rise and the other side you see the sunset. very beautiful.

Island Getaway
We had a very awesome stay! The popup camper was clean and the heat and stove worked great! This is definitely a get away and not for those that are not campers. Jimmy was responsive and there to help with check in. We would stay on the island again.

One of a kind experience
I was a little concerned with it being a new listing at first, but very happy with our decision. Starting after booking, the hosts / owners were happy to answer any questions and help us prepare for the trip even before we arrived. Jimmy was helpful in getting us, gear, and the rental boat to the island when we arrived at Moccasin Point where we left our vehicle. Arriving we found a beautiful island with a woodland feel. It is a rocky and set up a bit from the water giving wonderful views. We used the popup tent camper provided which was clean and dry and also brought a tent. Few to no bugs. There was more gear and supplies available than we expected like a grill and camp stove with some cooking gear. Being a newer listing is seems they are making improvements on a regular basis and there was some building materials on the island but out of the way did not really take away from the experience. Jimmy was there off and on to answer any questions or available by phone otherwise. Would consider another stay in the future for sure. Thanks for the great time.

Fantastic Spot
We loved this island. It is on a large, busy lake, but on the quiet, less developed end. There's a pop up camper which was super clean and comfortable and a really nice tent spot on the opposite end of the island. Jim was the perfect host. He has a small triler mid-island and was there for anything we needed, but otherwise we hardly saw him. He's got a gas grill, a Weber grill and an old school Coleman stove, a couple of patio tables and chairs. At night he fired up a generator so we had patio lights and power in the camper. Pretty much glamping. The island is something of a work in progress. There are some random odd things about, like a trailor and, oddly, a tanning bed. It did not detract at all from the beauty of the place. This is a really special place and Jim clearly loves it and wants to share the experience with others.
