Enjoy our little slice of heaven in a secluded, private, marsh front home with stunning river and marsh views where you can enjoy classic low country living on an acre of peacefulness. Bring your boat, kayak, and inner tubes so you can enjoy time on White Chimney Creek from our private, deep water dock. From the dock, you can enjoy swimming, fishing, crabbing, and catching shrimp. The property also includes large, live oak trees accented by Spanish moss which accompany beautiful sunrise and sunset views from the dock and home.
Our ranch style house includes three bedrooms and two full bathrooms which can accommodate up to six guests. The main bedroom has a queen sized bed, full-bathroom, and work station for those balancing responsibilities while trying to get away. One guest bedroom includes a queen bed, while the second guest bedroom has a full size bed. The main hallway connects to each guest bedroom, the second full bathroom, the laundry room, and another work table area. It is an older home, but well-kept and clean, with lots of character!
Property includes a private, large, covered, fixed dock and a 25x10 foot long floating dock where you can tie your boat up during your stay. White Chimney Creek is a tidal river with a 6 to 9 foot tide coming in/out twice a day. Thus, there can be a strong current, so bring a life jacket for anyone who plans to swim off the dock. The property includes ample parking for your vehicle(s) and boat trailer.
We are located within walking distance of the White Chimney Public Pier and boat ramp or a quick five minute drive to the Shellman Bluff boat lift at Fisherman’s Lodge. By boat, we are about five miles from Sapelo Sound and 14 miles from the Atlantic Ocean. Along with both in-shore and off-shore fishing, the area offers great beaches on Blackbeard, Sapelo, and St. Catherines Islands that are accessible by boat.
If you golf, the Sapelo Hammock Golf Club is just minutes away. There are lots of great restaurants and bars in the Shellman Bluff area. For those seeking to explore, Darien is roughly 30 minutes south, Savannah's River Street is just under an hour north, and Saint Simons Island is about 45 minutes south of our house.
