It was a beautiful stay! Loved everything about it.staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was AMAZING! It wasn’t loud at night. That morning sunrise is everything!!!
Loved the room, staff, service and food. One thing that could improve is having an option for fridges in the rooms. When we arrived I noticed signs saying no outside food or drink, which is unusual in a hotel for me.

Rooms have no privacy, bare that in mind if you're not traveling alone.
Lashings has 2 amazing pools with great views of St. Bess and the coastline. We were advised of the extra fee for AC when we checked in and told we booked a 'fan' room and would have to pay $20 US/night for access to the AC unit in our room. This was never communicated when booking. The 1 fan right over the bed was extremely loud and prevented us from sleeping the first night. We complained to the front desk and they arranged for us to have the AC access free of charge. Our room was extremely dark with quite a few lights with burnt out bulbs. The staff is inattentive most times spending much of their time playing pool and sitting around. Never once were we asked if we needed a drink when sitting by the pool for hours and even though there were few guests during our stay (likely because of COVID impacts.) Avia and the Manager were the saving grace that prevented me from giving it a lower rating. Great service from both of them! Food is great aside from the mackerel rundown - mostly coconut cream barely mackerel. Food is moderately priced and their 2 for 1 drink special every day from 430-730 pm was a great deal! Overall, we had a relaxing 3 night stay and will likely go back next time we decide to stay in the countryside.
The trip was everything we hoped for. I was honestly a little nervous about going off the "beaten track" (i. e. Montego Bay, Kingston) but I think I enjoyed the vacation more because of it. Nature beauty, serene beaches. It was great!

Lashings is a nice secluded property, however the general area has nothing to do other than the beach and everything is fairly distant. Lashings itself room was okay, food was great, staffing was just okay
It was a nice hotel overall, I would go back however the pictures shown on expedia is not what I got at all. I received a different view and was told what was portrayed on the site was from the villa.

Pros
One of the best things about Lashings was the areas for relaxing. There was a chill-out area, sun lounges, as well as other chairs and tables.
The staff were okay, most seemed friendly.
The restaurant had nice views and tables were adequately spaced out.
Cons
I didn't really see much cleaning of public areas except when I heard the pool being cleaned in the mornings.
I would have liked more choice at breakfast
There was no information about the hotel or what you could do locally in the rooms, that would have been a nice touch.
The staff at Lashings were such an amazing bunch! They made our stay even more amazing! Loved the fact that the amenities forces you to be outside and interact. No television makes you actually get out of your room and enjoy your company and the view
