Trenton has a small-town atmosphere with a close-knit community. Residents and visitors alike can enjoy the tranquility of the coastal environment while still having access to the amenities and services they need.
Trenton, like many towns in coastal Maine, often hosts local events, festivals, and fairs celebrating the area’s maritime heritage and culture. These events can range from seafood festivals to craft fairs. Trenton offers a desirable destination for both residents and visitors seeking a serene coastal experience.

Self check-in is available any time after check in time, and your keycode will expire at the end of your stay. Your keypad code is provided prior to check in by our 24/7 customer service team. No need to go to the front desk. Our properties are mostly self-serve with a help-yourself, door-is-always-open kind of mentality. Make yourself at home, and know we’re here if you need us!

This small budget friendly room is ideal to lay your head after exploring the iconic Maine coast. The room is recommended for 1 guest, but we do allow up to 2 people. Located on 2nd floor above property lobby with access via exterior staircase.

We have the luxury of being just feet from the bridge that leads to MDI and Acadia National Park but that also means that we are on the main artery that leads to the park. It gets busy with road traffic from Route 3 and air traffic from the small BHB airport. If you are a light sleeper and want to be deep in nature, this may not be the best spot for you. If you are looking for a relaxed, rustic vibe with what we consider to be the very best location to get to all things Acadia?! This IS your spot. Ask about earplugs or a white noise machine if you’re concerned about traffic noise.

Outdoor Amenities:
During warmer months the scenic grounds are vibrant with flower boxes, gardens, lush lawns, Adirondack chairs, and picnic tables shaded by umbrellas and mature trees. Play a game of cornhole, or gather with your group to roast marshmallows around the fire pit; the stars here are so bright at night!

Property & Location:
Built in 1840, Isleview Motel & Cottages has some of the oldest most historic buildings in the town of Trenton. Trenton has a small-town atmosphere where residents and visitors can enjoy the Gulf of Maine with easy access to nearby services. Trenton, like many towns in coastal Maine, often hosts local events, festivals, and fairs celebrating the area’s maritime heritage and culture.

Trenton is known for its gorgeous harbors and ocean views; it borders the western shore of Union River Bay. Guests have access to Trenton’s water-based activities such as kayaking, boating, and fishing with a nearby public boat launch. Tourists, visitors, and residents alike enjoy fishing for codfish, haddock, bluefish, bluefin tuna, striped bass, salmon, and of course, lobster.

A rental car or private vehicle is highly recommended as public transportation is not readily available. We are located on route 3 and on the island explorer bus route, so you can leave your car here and ride the bus for free (late June - Mid October).

One of the main attractions of Acadia National Park is its breathtaking coastal scenery, with rocky cliffs, sandy beaches, and picturesque islands.

A rental car or private vehicle is highly recommended as public transportation is not readily available. Trenton is accessible primarily via Route 3, which connects the town to nearby communities and serves as a major route for visitors traveling to Acadia National Park. The Hancock County-Bar Harbor Airport, located in Trenton, provides air travel options for those visiting the area.

Nice Budget Stay for Acadia
I was visiting Acadia for a handful of days; I stayed in Bar Harbor the first couple of nights, and decided to split costs by staying here, a short drive away just off the island, for the rest. It's definitely a small room/bathroom, especially compared to my first spacious place in Bar Harbor, and everything was older/cheaper/lower quality than my first place, but I also wasn't staying here for a spa treatment, and it's a fine, clean place to shower and sleep in the evenings while spending most of the day in the park. The drive to the park is short, and the amenities were surprisingly good; they have an office downstairs with lots of supplies you can help yourself to (they even had s'more kits and a fire pit; I didn't make any, but I saw other guests roasting marshmallows at the fire). And at literally half the cost of the place in Bar Harbor, it was a great value. The people who run the place weren't present when I was checking in/out, but they were very friendly and responsive in communicating with me through text. The only thing I was a little leery about was the wooden staircase going up to the room, it seemed like it could have been a little sturdier, but maybe that's just me (I'm not a fan of heights). If you're just looking for clean room with a shower and a bed that's close to Acadia, this is a good value.

A bit further & small, but a nice place
This was a small room. Fine for one person, but could be a nuisance for a pair if they have significant luggage. The shower is cramped. Easy to get in. I didn't initially realize there were more supplies in the office downstairs (soap, creamer, etc.). There is also a general store & gas less than a mile to the west. The location is a bit further from both Acadia and Bar Harbor than most options, but not significantly so where you'd have to really plan for extra time to get anywhere. The nearby airport did not create any noise. Neighbors opening doors could be noisy, but never happened when I was asleep (as far as I know.) The bed, A/C, etc. all made for a comfortable stay. Plenty of plugs & places to put your stuff.
