I pick the rooms with the two bunk beds as they are more suited to heavier folk. The shower is spacious and works well.

Jamal was an excellent host. He was always on site and at our beck and call. Contact was provided before our stay with clear concise instruction. Recommended, excellent location for seeing downtown Toronto.

Worst hostel experience of my life
I deserve the nightmare I experienced at this hostel for not heeding the warnings about how bad this place is from other reviewers. First off, good luck getting a hold of the shady people who run this dump. I had to abandon this place due to being eaten alive by bedbugs. Hotels.com tried contacting them to get a refund but they did respond, avoiding all emails and phone calls. The people who run this place are very rough around the edges and have no experience or training in dealing with patrons/guests. The man especially is extremely rude and nasty. I will have to escalate this legally in order to get my money back considering I had to leave almost a weeks early and they are refusing to answer Hotels.com in order to issue a refund.

If you’re out of options, take it. It’s a very noisy neighborhood, you will get very uncomfortable sleep. The bed is extremely unfriendly. Was charged additional half of the original amount in cash for late check out (had very little sleep hence the late check out).

The Palmerson
A good hostel in a suitable location. The bed and bathroom are good for a short stay and I had no problem with the other clients. This is a good place for a bed for the night.
