Room was basic, shower only Luke warm, and needed updating, also not a very nice smell coming from the shower! Perfect location city centre and harbour, breakfast was good and staff friendly, wouldn’t stay again as can get cheaper rooms just around the corner.

Fantastic breakfast
Easy check in, room was very comfortable but disappointed that the view from the window was of nothing. Breakfast was outstanding, we will use this hotel again simply because the breakfast and the staff were amazing.

The room was nice and comfy (Junior Suite) and staff was friendly. Location of the hotel is very convenient. Just be careful on weekends if you are a light sleeper, even in 6th floor floor you could here the music from the night club in the hotel. Not super loud but maybe bothersome for some people.

We had the windowed corner all the way at the top during "midnight summer". You can see it in the hotel picture. The view was fantastic! It was sunny 24/7 which was truly amazing. There was no AC and once of the windows was locked so there couldn't be any cross draft. There was a fan, though. It was hot in there even though the outside temp never rose above 65° outside. Hotel breakfast was extensive and delicious but a scrum of people every day. Hotel staff were very nice people but you're kind of on your own, IMO.

Watch out, 900 NOK parking tickets at hotel drop
The room was clean and comfortable as usual at Scandic. There was an excellent buffet breakfast, also as usual. The receptionist put us in a large room (Scandic's rooms are notoriously small) which turned out to be for the disabled. What he didn't do is warn us that the unloading/ loading parking pullout in front of the hotel has very strict rules. We took 9 minutes to check in and drop our bags in the room and return to the car. We know it was 9 minutes because that was on the 900 NOK parking ticket we got. No warning at reception, no signs on the hotel door indicating, nothing. And the city no parking sign is plastered with stickers on both sides. Oh well, 900 kroner, only money, right? But it could have been avoided if we had been given the information and one of us stayed with the car.

Multiple options to get to and from the airport. We got in late so we took a taxi was about $40 for a family of 4. There is a shuttle that goes to or near most of the hotels we took that back to the airport it was about $25. The hotel is convenient to most of the city center. Nothing was more than a few blocks away. Especially if you have tours booked liked we did. The room was spacious, which was nice since we were there for 4 nights. Great breakfast, lots of options. Definitely worth staying at if you want to make the most of Tromso!

Hotel was on the whole really nice, breakfast was excellent. The downsides were no tea/coffee making facilities in room which would be nice, room was very hot and when nightclub below is open it can be noisy. Would recommend hotel as place to stay in Tromso
