I don’t usually rate harshly on maintance issues (things happen, damage goes unnoticed, it’s often cosmetic) but I do when it’s pointed out, the staff is told about it, and they fail to take corrective action.
The blackout shade in our room was broken and would not go down. I called the front desk, she came up, looked at it. Said she couldn’t fix it as she “was the only one there” and said she wouldn’t move us despite having 3 other rooms at that price and configuration available. Tried to claim the u-store-it the window looked over would be dark. It was NOT. We ended up having to use a blanket to block the light. At the $89 a night price point, this would be fine, but they were too expensive to not resolve issues. Choose someplace else—they understaff and, despite the updated decor, aren’t properly moniotoring and maintaining the facility.
