The location is amazing. Beach is across the street. I went to the beach through a restaurant I loved eating at, but I don't know how else you would since the entrances are private.
Included breakfast is at a little cenote on property. So cute.
Beds in the hostel are double beds not twin. Tall for bunk beds (easy to sit up and move around).
Each bed is a little pod that has a fan, locker, hanging light, 2 power outlets, and a mosquito net as the 4th wall.
Lighting is really an issue. Womens dorm is dark even during the day. If your bed has a window it is less of an issue but still harder to make friends.
Bathroom toilets and showers are well lit but the sink and mirrors are not. You can see just fine, but getting ready for a late dinner or night out it is not easy to see.
Bring a flashlight for your locker.
Showers could use cleaned better. Water pressure is not good but still got my long hair clean. Water is as hot as you want it.
Breakfast is toast, fruit, and coffee. 8am to 9:30am.
If you bring any open food or fruits, critters will manage to eat them. Seems like it was some kind of lizard. Definitely not rodents as there was no poop and I didn't hear any scurrying.
Google maps is correct. This place is at Clan-Destino. You can tell the cab driver Cafe Jaguar...they all know that place, just get let off a bit early.
WiFi is fine. Cell signal bad everywhere nearby. Power goes out for a few minutes each day and so does the WiFi.
