The property offers ample space for meandering exploration and quiet solitude. The cabin's open architecture creates a great environment for families to gather together and enjoy the restorative, natural setting of the property.
Gull Pond, known for its pristine water quality, is a private, 1-mile long, glacial lake, near the village of Tupper Lake. It is a non-motorized body of water with excellent fishing and unsurpassed privacy. The lake covers more than 350 acres and is supplied by natural springs with a depth of 75 feet.
In the spring of 2021, the decor was expertly updated with an eclectic and contemporary mix of mid-century modern furniture and location inspired, whimsical art. Every room is a delight with interesting details. There are beds for 10 people, with three comfortable bedrooms and a spacious sleeping loft. The fully appointed kitchen has a island and looks out toward the dining area and great room. The vaulted ceilings allow two stories of windows to flood these areas with light and provide views of the water and leafy green surroundings. Two wood burning stoves in the living areas provide an atmosphere and warmth. The stairs go up to an open sleeping loft, or you can step down into a second family room area, with couches and a flat-screen TV. The entire downstairs is lined with windows looking out to the water and mountains as well as sliding doors providing access to the deck that spans most of the width of the house. Off the great room and adjoining the deck is a comfortable and inviting, screened in porch that you won't want to leave.
Camp Idylwilde is the perfect combination of peaceful Adirondack beauty and access to 4-seasons of recreational activities. Summer activities are endless. (PLEASE NOTE: Ice fishing is NOT ALLOWED on Gull Pond) There is a canoe, two kayaks and two paddleboards available.
