Quiet place perfect for a rest stop and very close to Tongariro National Park. Would recommend for annyone hiking in the area.

Mould around windows, curtains needed to have hooks renewed, alot not hooked on track , tear in net curtain, stains on carpet, wall by table been damaged by chair back, needs board there to stop that. I took photos because it was not good enough.

Nice to get in a few minutes earlier than usual. The motel was freshly painted inside and had an air conditioner/heat pump plus new looking carpet. The tap over the basin indicated H and C but the water temperature was opposite to the direction indicated (and usual). We thought there was no hot water only to find out later the shower was marvellous - hot as you wanted and excellent flow. The restaurant is average.

This was just a one night stopover to break trip from Wellington to Auckland. Comfortable room for the night. Restaurant onsite provided a very enjoyable meal. Even though on major road, very quiet stay

Clean enough and comfortable beds, however had to ask twice for enough towels, no light in bathroom (reported but not fixed) kitchen area and equipment inadequate. Not sufficient seating for number of beds. No hot water on 2nd morning, ( more units occupied) towel rail and curtain pole loose ( both fell off).

Very comfortable accomodation for our overnight stay. All facilities were available for self catering, or restaurant was located on site. The units were quiet, staff friendly and obliging. We will happily stay in future when travelling through the area.

The hot tub was not working (#1 reason for choosing it). The playground was very basic (a slide & a baby swing). We booked a room for 2 adults and 1 child & there was only 2 towels. Check in was pretty vague (no directions to room). No breakfast available as they only do it if 9 or 10 people want it. Which was definitely not as advertised and inconvenient. (Wouldn't you offer at least something to get the revenue?). The restaurant was surprisingly higher quality than the rest of the experience. The heater in our room did not work & the curtains did not block out the lights that were on all night. Slightly disappointing but nowhere near as bad as the back packers at National Park.

Staff were excellent as was the meal in the dining area Welcoming fire While the room was clean and recently renovated, needed reconfiguring the area to clean dishes. Large hanging locker unnecesary. Unhappy with washing dishes in basin in handbasin..
