Vacation in architectural monument combines heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a revitalised future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the ‘Vacation in architectural monument’ foundation, which was set up by the Swiss Heritage Society in 2005.

Public transport: SBB to Twann. From the railway station 5 minutes on foot.

Car: By car to the Twann exit. Drive to the church.

Boat: By boat to Twann, then a 5-minute walk to the house.

Car park: Public car park 5 minutes on foot. Parking card will be provided.

Number of persons 4: The house can accommodate up to four guests. The beds are all futons - very hard. The floors are made of wood and stone, which is why we recommend good slippers. Despite insulation, it can get colder in winter, so we recommend warm clothing, and as no other place could be found in the house for a second toilet, these were placed next to each other without further ado
