Vista Palma is a delightful blend of modern themes and eclectic desert style. You'll have stunning palm tree and mountain views with corner lot privacy facing the Oasis of Mara. Walk to bars/restaurants or retreat in the giant backyard. Soak in the new hot tub (ozone system) after your day in the park, enjoy the stone-lined fire pit and outdoor living room with grill. Shade at all hours of the day and unobstructed views make this the ideal desert oasis for your Joshua Tree National Park visit.
The space
This desert retreat has updated kitchen and flooring with decor that gives the 3 bedroom, 2 bath house a relaxed resort vibe.
Each of the bedrooms is uniquely themed. The Primary oozes luxury with gold touches throughout, a king size bed, en suite bathroom and private patio. The Moroccan room has tribal patterns and art that will make you want to light incense and start activating all your chakras. The Tropic room is a dreamy oasis of nature-inspired comfort. Blackout curtains and whisper quiet fans in all rooms ensure temperature control and deep sleep. Beds and linens are of superior quality for that vacation vibe.
For those needing to work, all rooms have desks and there is lightening fast wireless internet throughout the property. We love to have a seat at the picnic table under the huge canopy of the Mulberry and look up at the mountains, palms and saguaro cacti as we start our day.
The house sits on almost 1/2 acre corner lot and offers shade in front or back at any time of the day, and even though the house is walking distance from the best local spots the town has to offer, you'll probably just want to chill there and soak up the views of the desert skyline, the Oasis of Mara and of the Twentynine Palms - the large cluster of 29 palm trees for which the city was named. You will love hanging in the hot tub and taking it all in, day or night. (Has anyone told you about the desert night sky? Come out and see the multitude of stars and constellations!)
The house is only a 4 min drive from the Oasis of Mara Joshua Tree Visitor Center, and less than 10 mins from the east entrance to the park. You are walking distance from the 29 Palms Inn Bar & Restaurant, Old Schoolhouse Museum, 29 Palms Art Gallery, Starbucks, local restaurants, and boutiques. 7-11 is a few blocks away for any 24hr needs and the casino is only a 3 minute drive, if you're feeling lucky!
Guest access
There is parking in front for up to 5 cars, even room for your RV!
Other things to note
There are quite a few spiky plants and cacti on the property (we are in the desert!) so children and dogs should be careful. In the backyard there are less, but in the front and side yard, please be cautious. We suggest always wearing closed-toe shoes when outside. Cactus spikes and other desert dangers/critters are not always easily visible.
