I usually don't write too many reviews but wanted to share my experience to warn others. We booked a one night stay from 2/17-2/18. Due to some unforeseen circumstances we decided to take the 4.5hr drive knowing we'd arrive extremely late. I read the details and was aware we needed to check in at another hotel. However, I didn't realize it was a mile away. When you're tired, a mile seems far. There's not very much parking, so pack light. Our unit was at the very back. The property can definitely use some better lighting. We attempted to open the door with our key and the chain lock was on. My husband attempted to take the lock off and heard someone moving around. He yelled is someone in here and the person said huh. There was a man sitting on the couch asleep. We hurried back to our car and called the attendant. He asked us to put the person on the phone. My husband yelled at him to come do his job. It's 2am and you want us to figure out who's in our room?? He came down, unlocked the door, the chain was off. He went in and said no one's here. Obviously, whoever it was had left. We were definitely at the right unit because our key worked. He asked us who would break into a hotel, I'm like, I guess anybody who needs shelter. This person had to have come in through a window. We didn't feel safe enough to stay and requested a refund. There were no other rooms available in this small town so we turned right back around and went home. This was a DISASTER!!
