We booked Ubad retreat on the positive reviews it received in the past. On arrival, we were greeted by Gusti and all seemed well. Soon after, he left the building and unfortunately, that is where it all ended. On entering our “double delux” room which we booked and payed for 4 people including daily breakfast, (2 adults and 2 children), we were advised by the male personal that the room only catered for 1 double bed and single bed. We were told that an extra bed was an additional daily charge. He continued by also asking us to pay an extra daily breakfast charge for one of our young daughters, whom we had clearly payed for upfront, through Hotels.com. I advised him that my hardcopy and electronic booking did not support his claims for the additional charges. This attendees aggressive mannerisms towards my family and I warranted us to contact Hotels.com immediately, who in turn assisted us to move on to another hotel, minus a day’s room payment. We were happy with the support given and are now enjoying our stay in Bali.
