Was greeted nicely. Everything was ready and they even brought ice to our room when we asked about it. Nice, clean and quiet stop along the Lake Superior Circle Tour!

Like other reviewers, what stood out was the friendliness of the owners and cleanliness of the rooms. There is obvious pride taken in maintaining the property (esp compared to other places in the area). It was a great stay and the surrounding area is spectacular! Grab any food/drinks in Terrace Bay or Marathon because there are no restaurants etc nearby, but there is a minibar fridge to store your food and a coffee maker to make mornings easier.

The property and room was clean staff were kind when we checked in. Room was so so damp everything felt wet. Wouldn’t go back for that reason.

This motel is very outdated but our room was spotless. Amenities were bare bones - shampoo only & one towel per person. There is nothing nearby for miles. The staff was kind enough to send a message letting us know there are no restaurants close by. I would stay here again.

The perfect retro roadside motel
This is a classic roadside motel that's kept all the retro touches and has been lovingly kept in great shape. Think "Schitt's Creek", but with a British flare. The rooms are clean, everything works great, the staff is very friendly, and the gardens are beautiful. The only reason I went with 4 stars is that the mattresses are very stiff which was hard on my back, but if you like a firm mattress you'll be fine. Bonus: get a picture the old Bell telephone box!

It is a great motel to make a stop when traveling the beautiful Hwy 17 in Ontario, north of Lake Superior. Quiet, comfortable, reasonably priced. Very nice experience.

We stayed here two nights on our way to our VRBO further up in Ontario. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room, while simple, was very clean and the beds were comfortable as well.
