After 4 years of renovation respecting the old style, this beautiful farmhouse has all the modern equipment and comfort: 4 bedrooms of 20 sq. m with private bathrooms, 3 toilets, a living and dining rooms of 45 sq. m with a fireplace. There is also a large kitchen of 40 sq. m with all modern amenities, a mezzanine space of 40 sq. m with lounge and home cinema, a fitness centre with a sauna, and a Jacuzzi for 5 people. The heated pool and its terrace of 85 sq. m allow enjoying the exceptional panoramic view of the countryside surrounding. The farmhouse offers all the modern comfort with an under floor heating system, an Internet connection, a Wi-Fi access throughout the property, and a satellite TV. The living room area has a stone fireplace to spend evenings by the inglenook. The large kitchen and its large table allow you to take and enjoy your breakfast with your family. It is fully equipped with a dishwasher, an oven, a microwave, a cook top, and a refrigerator. The back kitchen has a washing machine, a tumble-dryer and lots of storage space.

2024 family holiday

Fabulous house to stay in with everything you could need for a large family holiday. Only a few places have a large heated pool, 6 person hot tub, sauna, gym and cinema room? Paul was great and very friendly, attentive if needed and hospitable. We've stayed in many french properties over the last 20 or so years and this tops them all. Great place for total peace and quiet with local shops a short drive away and loads to do and see in the area. Would happily go there again even though we don't usually say that.

Relaxing break with the family

We had an excellent week in this gite. All the facilities were easy to use and we spent our time relaxing and enjoying the lovely pool and beautiful views. Paul was very helpful and easy to communicate with.

Stunning, peaceful location

What an absolutely beautiful setting this home is in! Every evening, the sunsets were so stunning that we found ourselves going outside with a glass of wine in hand of course, to watch the beauty. It is a very tranquil and idyllic setting but yet the local town is only a short drive away for supermarkets etc. We had a lovely meal in Vergt town centre. Paul the host was very welcoming and gave us a wonderful suggestion for a little restaurant tucked away in a village. We made full use of the pool, jacuzzi and the outdoor space. If you want a truly peaceful holiday but with the convenience of being near to so many visitor attractions then this is the place for you!

Fantastic holiday

Fantastic house, fantastic location and fantastic hosts. The house is beautiful and in such a lovely setting. We wanted a family break with peace and quiet and it was everything we wanted. The pool is lovely and kept clean and warm. The house is very spacious and has a lovely large kitchen which has all the kitchen utensils you could need. Paul is very friendly and helpful but also gives you the space you need for a lovely relaxing holiday. The town is a good 15 minutes drive away so a car is essential but this is exactly what we wanted

Fantastic

Paul could not have been more helpful! The setting and facilities are outstanding and a credit to Paul. We were a group of 8 and there was plenty of room for all. The Town of Verte is about 8 -10 mins in a car ( not really walking distance) and this is where you will find the supermarket and boulangerie , also a lovely little Pizzaria off the town square! Only a small town but has everything you will need ! Paul will meet you in the town and take you to the property which really does make it easy as you will never find it using sat nav. Fantastic time had by all !

Beautiful Farmhouse- perfect for family or 2 couples

We stayed in Paul's gorgeous farmhouse for a week with my brother and one other couple. The area is incredibly beautiful and the views from the pool are amazing! It was cool during our stay so we took advantage of the hot tub on several occasions and had a lovely roaring fire in the living area. The house is perfectly set up for 2 couples as each bedroom has it's own ensuite bath. Keep in mind that only one of the bedrooms has a toilet in the bath area and the other 3 share a toilet located just outside the bedrooms in the hallway (which has a motion sensor light which is nice in the dead of night). There is also a toilet located just off the kitchen in the utility area which came in handy. The utility area also has a washer and dryer that we used while there. As Americans, some of our party had no experience with European machines and were frustrated by the time required to wash and dry! Not a problem for my husband and I - we usually just air dry our garments in Europe. The kitchen is very well equipped with appliances, cookware and all the utensils and dishes needed for a lovely meal. We cooked many times while here and it was nice to have a variety of dining areas to choose from. The upstairs lounge area was a good place to relax with a book or to watch tv as a group. It is equipped with comfortable seating areas. We only swam in the pool one evening and being that it was early April, the water was quite cold!! We enjoyed it nonetheless! We also used the petanque court on several occasions and it was a hit with all of our party. I would say that we all enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet get-away with friends and family!

Great house in a beautiful setting. Paul was very helpful and welcoming. Fantastic outdoor space with swimming pool and jacuzzi, great for our family! We didn’t realise when we booked it that heating of the house and pool, cleaning linen were all at an extra cost but they were easily arranged.

Beautiful property in a stunning location.

Paul was extremely accommodating and met us in the local town to take us to beautiful Le Caillavet! It is a simply stunning property, perfect for families looking to get away from it all, but still wanting to be able to take advantage of the best the region has to offer. You can see the love and dedication that Paul has put into renovating and updating the property and it was just perfect for us . It's perfectly represented by the website description and photos. Bedrooms are spacious, fantastic large showers with plenty of hot water and the kitchen is spacious and very well equipped. The terrace by the pool with a spectacular panoramic view is just wonderful and in the early morning, we were blessed with deer in the meadow. All facilities really are first class. Paul was incredibly accommodating and very helpful when we asked for additional bedding and pillows. We would highly recommended and hope to come back. Many thanks again Paul for a wonderful stay. Paradise in Périgord

Simply sensational! A sympathetic farmhouse renovation that combines creativity and creature comforts. This is the perfect base to explore Périgord. The luxury farmhouse has it all and amply accommodated our extended family. The pool has a view to die for and the sunsets are memorable. Paul is the perfect host -- we arrived from Canada to a wonderful welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Au revoir Le Caillavet!

Magnifique location

Cette maison, ou nous avons passé une semaine en famille, est absolument parfaite et rénovée avec gout. Des espaces de vie chaleureux, très bien agencés; alliance du bois et de la pierre. Superbe !

Gîte magnifique dans un cadre splendide. Longère très spacieuse rénovée avec goût : 4 chambres avec toutes leur salle d’eau ou de bain, cuisine, séjour et espace salon TV très confortables. A disposition, sauna et jacuzzi. Un environnement parfait : au calme, avec les biches que l’on voit passer le matin sur la propriété ! Un endroit que l’on n’a pas envie de quitter ! Perfect getaway on the French countryside

une magnifique propriété

La propriété est à l'abri des regards à 15 mn du village (supermarché), loin du bruit, avec une vue extraordinaire et une très belle piscine. De quoi passer un séjour inoubliable, relaxant au coeur du périgord. Je recommande chaudement !

Sfeervol huis in rustige omgeving

De vriendelijke eigenaar Paul stond bij aankomst klaar om ons welkom te heten. Dit zeer sfeervol ingericht huis is werkelijk van alle gemakken voorzien. Een heerlijk zwembad met fijne ligbedden en een heerlijke loungeset waarop je ‘s avonds van het prachtige uitzicht kunt genieten. Het dorpje Vergt ligt op 15 minuten rijden en hier is een supermarkt, bakker en slager te vinden. We hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad in dit fraaie huis. We kunnen iedereen aanraden om hier op vakantie te gaan. Merci Paul!!
