Fantastic stay

Anna and Francesca were great hosts. They were prompt in responding to your questions and made excellent suggestions when it came to places to visit. The property includes a beautiful garden and pool, and we enjoyed both. We highly recommend the property but also want to say again what a joy it was to meet Francesca.

Quiet villa with plenty of room
The villa was located in a quiet area but as we had a car everything was accessible within 30 minutes driving. Our host was fantastic to deal with and was on hand to answer any questions

Charming
Beautiful house. Very well maintained. Helpful hosts. Lovely garden. Acs everywhere. Well stocked kitchen. Comfortable bed. Only issue is parking. Streets are very narrow and you need to park very close to the side of the road, which can be tricky, especially with stick shift on a hill. This is, of course, not under the control of the owners, but something to take into account.

Beautiful tranquil villa with a view
We absolutely adored our stay at the villa. The pool was perfect and the views all around were spectacular. Francesca was a fantastic host, giving us great suggestions for nearby restaurants, activities, things to see etc. she was also readily available for any questions. Lovely Villa in a Great Location
Great communication meant a smooth arrival, an easy hour or so drive from Palermo airport to a friendly welcome. The villa is comfortable, well appointed and spotlessly clean, the pool was wonderful. In a great location, with easy access to Erice and the coast, and several excellent restaurants. We have no hesitation in recommending Villa Fontana for a relaxing holiday.

A perfect stay at a classic villa
We loved the entire stay: the house, the grounds, the pool as well as the tips and care offered by Francesca. It is a quiet location and well equipped for cooking. We could see the sunset on the rock at San Vito Lo Capo from the property. Beaches were all within a 30 minute drive. And, Francesca was very resourceful and even helped us resolve a medical problem! In short, we couldn’t have wished for a better week in Trapani, Sicily.

Relaxing stay in a beautiful part of Sicily
This beautiful, historic house was the perfect place for a girls’ getaway to Sicily. The house is spacious and comfortable and the grounds are even more beautiful than in the pictures. Francesca was a delightful host and very helpful and communicative. There are no shops or restaurants within easy walking distance, so a car or a driver is necessary, but Francesca is happy to make all arrangements. We loved our stay overall and would happily go back!

Amazing Villa
Amazing stay. Beautiful surroundings and gardens, with fruit trees and olive trees. Villa was clean and comfortable. The host could not have done more for us. Anything we needed she was at hand to help us. We decided not to drive (in hind sight we probably should have had a car) - as difficult access to most places. However the host helped us with taxis, food delivery and information for the area. Pool was beautiful, quiet and all to ourselves! Would definitely come back and recommend to others!

Beautiful villa with amazing garden and pool
We absolutely loved our stay at the villa and everything was perfect: the pool, the garden, the house was spacious and equipped with all the basics (coffee maker, toaster, utensils, pots/pans etc.), the view (of Erice and the sea), and it's centrally located to many attractions in the area. We will highly recommend this little piece of heaven to all of our friends. Most importantly, Francesca was an amazing host - she left us coffee, wine, and pastries to enjoy. (Also, she gave us many recommendations about great restaurants, places, beaches, restaurants, and stores to visit in the area). That was such a nice, sweet touch especially since we arrived on a late Sunday afternoon. Grazie mille!

Great castle-like villa with lovely grounds and private pool
The villa was huge for the four of us, with a lovely deep pool, set in beautiful gardens which are shared with the second "castle". The two villas are very private though as they each have their own pool set well apart amongst the trees. The trees also provide lots of afternoon shade around the pool. The accommodation is upstairs with lovely views across to Erice and Cofano National Reserve. Parking is on the street but there are no other cars around so not a problem at all. Francesca was great, providing us plenty of information about the local beaches, attractions, restaurants and supermarkets as well as some tasty local treats! Wifi worked fine and the three double bedrooms had air-conditioning that worked well. Some of the furniture could do with updating but did not detract from this being a great family villa and we had a lovely relaxing week.

Quiet and comfortable
Lovely property on a large lot with an orchard and lots of greenery, the villa also has a pool and an outdoor kitchen, including BBQ. The place is fully updated with good bathrooms and kitchen. Lots of light, too. We had no problem parking on street. Roads adjacent to the villa are tight, but typical of small villages in Italy. Great hostesses! Go to nearby Ristorante Sirena as recommended! It is super. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend a stay here.

A good base with lots of places to visit. Very comfortable accommodation. Francesca and Christina so kind and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them to make your stay everything you want it to be. If you want beautiful countryside, a stunning botanical garden to walk around and fancy living in a small castle then this is the place for you. Lovely villa with beautiful pool, garden and views
The villa, pool and gardens are beautiful and well maintained. Lovely views out to the coast and up to the medieval town of Erice. A great location with many places; Trapani, Erice and San Vito to name a few all within easy reach. Our visit was made all the easier by Francesca the owner who was able to recommend places to visit, eat, shop etc. In fact we found the people in this area to be very friendly and patient with our limited Italian! We had a wonderful time at the villa and in the area and would certainly recommend it.

Great holiday!
Fabulous place to stay to explore this part of Sicily. Close to local shops and harbour for boat hire. Boat was reasonable - fuel was very expensive. Air conditioning meant we could sleep at night - as was very hot during our stay. Francesca was lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. Shopping on arrival and then even though check out was 10.30 she let us stay and use the pool as our flight wasn't till late afternoon. Pool was lovely - though we hadn't realised it was shared - but was no problem. The cats were a lovely addition! Home grown veg was great. We had a super holiday and would recommend this villa to anyone.

Great place to stay for exploring the north- western area of Sicily. Beautiful old fort, very comfortable (we are a family of 5). Spacious, characterful but has air conditioning in bedrooms for a great nights sleep too! Beautiful grounds, peaceful and abundant. Pool fantastic - very well maintained and lovely at any time of the day / evening with BBQ area and plenty of space for eating. Hosts were so considerate. Welcomed us with handmade Aruncini for lunch, left basic provisions and advised us on itinerary, boat hire and were incredibly helpful all week. Thank you - a very happy and memorable holiday!

"Like a Dream" better than my high expectations
Villa Fontana was the perfect accomidation for us. We were able to enjoy many day trips from our location. Trapani, Marsala, Erice, San Vito lo Capo, Segesta, and Favignana. Our host attention to detail was amazing. Many thoughtful touches to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Extra soft blankets to curl up in. Wine, breakfast cookies, blood orange juice, Nescafe pods, melon were all set out on our arrival. Christina sent us directions in Whats App, and met us to show the property and give us keys. Salvatore, assisted us with our bags, brought us fresh lemons, oranges, mulberry, loquat, mint, chamomile, all from the gardens. He gave us a tour of the olive grove, and a sample of amazing olive oil made onsite. The pool was clean and refreshing. The gardens are full of birds including nesting falcons, upupa, and mischievous swallows that kept us amused. The villa is clean and beautiful. Awesome views of the sea and of Erice from the windows. The tiled bathrooms are big with great water pressure and hot water for all. The kitchen is well equiped for making meals, like the fresh tuna steaks we found at the fish market in Trapani. There is a grocery store in Bonagia close by. Many good restaurants, pastry shops and a market on the weekend. We had the pleasure to meet with our host Francesca, her husband, Mother Anna, and their adorable little "patata". We very much enjoyed our stay at Villa Fontana. When I got home I told my father that we stayed in a castle in Sicily. He asked me "Did you meet the queen?" I replied "Dad, I was the queen!" The perfect home base for a visit to western Sicily. I highly recommend this property. I feel blessed to have found it.

Fantastic
Great place comfortable, clean and homely. The pool and garden were impeccable. Thanks to Cristina and Francesca our hosts for the wine and strawberries and thanks to Salvatore who left fresh lemons and clementines in the morning. Would definitely stay here again and totally recommend it

Wish our stay could have been longer!
Villa Fontana was just what we wanted - quiet and relaxing in beautiful surroundings. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful and we loved every minute of our stay. Unfortunately, family circumstances meant we had to cut our stay short but we all agree that we will return to see more of the area and we will recommend Villa Fontana to all our friends.

Un piacevolissimo ritorno.
Meravigliosa villa e splendido giardino. Sono tornato per la quarta volta in questa struttura insieme a mia moglie e come ogni volta non posso che consigliare villa Fontana. Gli arredi, i paesaggi e l'architettura in se riportano alle atmosfere dei fasti siciliani. Grazie a Francesca e Cristina per la loro fantastica accoglienza. Tornerò ancora a trovarvi.
