Hot water takes a bit longer to come. Perhaps it was a bit difficult to adjust for the right temperature with the tilting stick for temperature. Comfortable. "

"We had an amazing time at this house in Tahoe! The house was literally right on the lake! My crazy boy jumped in the ice cold lake every day before skiing. Absolutely magical few days!"

"Much of South Lake Tahoe is noisy and congested. Fireside is located on the edge of the Camp Richardson forested region, perfect hiking distance from Pope Beach. They provide guests with complimentary bikes in the warmer months and snowshoes when the drifts kick in. Unlike many Tahoe motels on the highways, Fireside Lodge is quiet at night (due to its location). The themed rooms are clean and cozy with quaint kitsch and plenty of space and amenities (such as fireplaces and kitchens with a dining table). The hosts provide a hearty breakfast, including a stand-out waffle bar with all the fixings. The evenings offer wine and cheese and smores by a campfire. There's even a hot tub, sauna, and game room (complete with vintage arcade games). The Fireside Lounge is everything you could want in an affordable Tahoe stay."

"This is my first time providing feedback regarding a VRBO property. I felt compelled to share my experiences, as property owners often do not receive updates from housekeepers or property managers concerning the state of their residences.The property is indeed well-suited for larger families; however, it requires additional maintenance. During our stay, we encountered two small mice within the house, and three rooms experienced mouse activity on the beds. Furthermore, the main refrigerator did not function properly, necessitating the transfer of most of our food to a secondary refrigerator located in the laundry room, which made our stay somewhat inconvenient. At least the presence of an additional refrigerator mitigated this issue. Additionally, the dishwasher was malfunctioning, the jacuzzi was exceedingly dirty with brown water, and the heating system in the downstairs area was also not operating efficiently. Given the price point charged per night, I believe that heightened attention to these concerns is warranted."
