Good place if you just want some very basic privacy, as in 4 walls and not a bunk bed. If they put you in a room next to the common area, getting a early night is impossible as the conversations in the common area are super loud and feel like they are right next to you ear. Everytime the long basin is used its loud enough to wake you up. Maybe just request a room towards the reception if you can. Other than the noise it was fine.
Traveled all over the Yucatan for a month, this hotel was the best bargain for the money. It was the best value for the price.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Room comfort
The private room is a good price, but there was minimal privacy due screens on top the the walls. It was good for airflow but made it difficult to sleep past 7am with everyone talking in the rooms next to you or in the kitchen. The hostel itself was clean but lacked silverware so consider bringing your own. Good location and chill atmosphere

The room is very basic, a bed and a fan. Kitchen basic also with hardly any utensils or cups.
Main problem was the noise, you can hear every time someone opens or closes his room as the walls are paper thin and there's only a screen above the door
You get a private room with a single bed and a fan. No AC. The bathrooms are shared and far from the room.
Everything is clean. Good sheets and towels.
Noisy since rooms are separated by a wall that doesn't go all the way to the ceiling.
WIFI worked OK and the location was fine, a few minutes from the center.
Good staff.
I ended up extending.
No social vibe whatsoever.
It was great! Staff listen to comments, request. And they have fixed the noise between rooms by adding extra wall, so no there is more privacy, and practically no noise. It was Fantastic. I started with 2 nights, and I ended there for 10 days. And they have a kitchenette very well equipped. Very, very good.
It was a decent place to stay the night. It was clean, but had kind of a grungy feel about it because of the lighting. AC was cold. I didn't try the pool or the restaurant/bar. The shower was scorching hot and the knob for cold water was broken. For the price, it's exactly what I expected. It's reasonably close to the airport and that's all that mattered to me.
Location is way off centre and on a remote residential street with no shops in sight. Unfortunately the town of Valladolid is run down, dilipidated, seems abit intimidating due to low tourist traffic and not alot to offer. Apart from catering to those visiting Chichen Itza, I probably wont stay in this town. Hostel Gaiser is simple no frills as is advertised, common areas and showers were well desgned and clean. Room was however not so clean, poor ventilation and walls so thin that every sound from other rooms could be heard!
We stayed in four hostels in Mexico trip. This one is the cheapest, but we would say the facilities are the best (except the noise).
Enough public showers with hot water and toilets (all others where we stayed didn't have warm enough water).
There is public Kichen and area.
There is internet but not very strong (but still good enough compared with our oh there experience).
Stuff speaks English.
Everything is pretty new and clean.
One bad thing is it is quite noisy. The "rooms" And the corridors are separated by some "boards" not really wall, and the up part is just net. So you can hear clearly anyboady talked in the corridor or even other rooms.
