I liked all the technology in the room - lights, curtains, shades, temperature were all controlled by a touch screen. The one downside to the room and the facility in general was the lighting. Everything was very dark, like it was a nightclub. The walls and ceiling in the rooms were painted dark colours absorbing much of the limited lighting that was available. This made it difficult to make coffee, put on makeup and read using the provided lighting and lamps.

AMAZING! If you're looking for a proper 5* service that goes along with the hotel, Paradox does it VERY WELL! Of all the 5* hotels I've stayed in Vancouver, they're truly FIRST PLACE at it!. Fabulous customer service from front desk, bell services, housekeeping, maintenance and house person services. I'm in awe that there is that ONE hotel in Vancouver that will do it RIGHT. It's that kind of 5* service I normally get in 5* hotels in Asia that is truly lacking in N. America and Eu in general but Paradox have blown me away on this day and has proven me that there is that ONE hotel that can DO IT!

Room phones don’t have a house keeping button. When the front desk was asked, they didn’t know the number to transfer. So they just took my request. The hot tub was not hot at all and the water level was low. I called and all they said was thanks for letting them know and they will send someone. We waited 45 mins and no one showed. Disappointed as we only had limited time as the hot tub open from 7am to 7 pm. As for the TV, I tried to watch the local Global News but it wouldn’t come on. The TV screen just went black. All American channels worked and Asian speaking channels. Not sure what that was about. We did like our stay and would probably stay there again. Hopefully, they will rectify these issues.

The hotel is modern, beautiful and most importantly, very quiet. Beds were comfortable and the room was quite spacious. It would be helpful to have hooks for towels in the bathroom or somewhere in the room but besides that it was perfect! Pool and hot tub are different than most settings but beautiful and unique! The staff was friendly and we enjoyed the fitness center and lounging in the lobby. I’d definitely stay here again!

Always solid! I’ve stayed here a few times; in a suite and in a mid executive room (it’s about the bathtub, ya’ll!) and views are great. The staff is SO nice & genuinely helpful. Room service & VIP perks were awesome. Quirky touches like rubber ducks for the bathtub rooms & regional art. VERY clean. I felt safe as a lone guest & with a partner (queer friendly). Karma Lounge was cute & cocktails good. Room service (dinner) was set up nicely & tasty. For downtown, this area isn’t bad & quiet yet right around the corner from everything. Street parking was easy & affordable. My business is frequently in Vancouver & I’ve stayed in many hotels in the area-Paradox by far is my current favorite.
