The highlight of this property is the great location in the heart of downtown Vancouver. My friend and I were able to walk to almost everywhere we wanted to go, including to BC Place for a concert. With that, however, comes the noise of a big city, but it really wasn’t bad with the exception of a Saturday night. The entire wall looking out over downtown is windows, with a tiny deck. I can sleep through just about anything but that morning sun might bother some - some black out shades would help.
Everything worked fine and the little kitchen was sufficiently stocked (we didn’t do any real cooking). There is no central AC in the apartment but the portable unit was quiet enough and kept the place cool. However, it appears to be a DIY install and the duct tape used to keep the outside AC hose in place came loose. Would recommend getting someone in there to do a more professional repair job.
The apt was clean - expect for a stinky shower curtain that needed to go in the wash, and the ceiling fan which has a very thick layer of dust on top (I know it’d be a bear to clean as the ceiling is very high, but it was pretty gross to look at when laying in bed up in the loft).
We paid extra for parking in the building basement but that was a bit tricky. The doorman had to help me find the somewhat hidden entrance, and parking spot is for compact cars so it was a tight squeeze for our mid-sized car- would definitely Not work for a large vehicle.
Owner was very responsive
