GREAT interesting unique place to stay, the hotel used to be one of the buildings to the chateaux across the street, many original features have been kept like stone walls, floors, and beams. Often you will find a place that looks great on the outside, but the rooms are sterile plain blah and modern looking, not in keeping with the building.- not the case here, nice carpet, feature stone walls in all rooms, fantastic bathroom, great tile, unique mirrors, heated towel rack, a couch and desk, memory foam mattress, thin pillows, but a bedroll helped there. Had an excellent dinner in the former orangery, a bit expensive, limited choice, but well prepared. The €12.00 ea. breakfast is a huge complaint that all Fr. hotels seem to do for a cold continental BK when you can have a 3 course lunch anywhere in Fr. for that price, instead we had cafe and a full ham & cheese baguette for 8.00 for both of us. 2nd morning we opted for a full hot English Breakfast nearby in Chaillac for about the same price. But I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
