Great customer service. Broken AC in room.
The man at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. I only needed to stop to grab a few hours of sleep but unfortunately the AC did not work in the room and it was 91 degrees inside. I couldn’t switch rooms because the front desk was closed until check in time and at that point I just left. I’m sure after checkin they would have been able to swap rooms but AC working should be something that’s checked when it’s 100 degrees outside. The pool is not usable as it’s filled with sand yet still listed as a feature of this stay. Room was very clean though. If the AC was working it would have been 5 stars but no AC is instant deal breaker.

the whole property smells like mold/cigarettes/ and turned my feet black when I walked on the floors in the room. Not great.

Manager was friendly, welcoming. Property was a bit run down. Pool filled with dirt, room had wad of pet hair on floor, shower mat and drain with visible build up, coffee maker with used coffee filter in it, wall with cracks. TV without reception. No toiletries in room. Lots of area for pets to walk, roam. Area surrounding is farmland and aroma is livestock.

We travel frequently cross-country with our two dogs. I made this reservation online, and carefully read the Pet Policy before deciding to choose this hotel. The pet policy stated “$15 per accommodation.” It DID NOT say $15 per pet per accommodation. I am so tired of deception. Why can’t people be honest?

Only 1 handicapped accessible room on the property, the parking space for that room was in the back corner of the lot and consistently blocked by other patrons. These other patrons parked their large pickup trucks (with Illinois tags) head out of the two adjacent parking spaces and blocked access to the ONLY handicapped space. The manager of the property suggested I park sideways and take two spaces, but following his recommendation would have resulted in my car being boxed in by the same two pickups and any vehicle that parked in the space to the left of the two spaces I would have occupied. The correct action the manager should have taken is to ask the inconsiderate drivers of the 2 large pickup trucks to move their trucks down to any of the plethora of open and available parking spots which would have then left the ONLY handicapped space accessible. The room itself was in disrepair: the door had to be slammed to close correctly, no viewing device to the outside was provided on the door, the room constantly had flies in it, the toilet required multiple flushes to effectively remove waste, lighting was dim in the room even with all lamps on. Overall, this hotel has been poor in terms of service and accomodations and a bad experience in general. Bring a fly swatter, a door chain, a toilet plunger and a willingness to try and understand the nature of some people who show absolutely no concern for others in our society.
