Booked 2 rooms for 1 night during cross country trip on May 30 2024. Room 1 smelt strongly of urine and the towels had yellow stains. A new room was requested. Room 1 replacement smelt like mold, had dried blood on the comforter, and a novel on the night stand. Room 2 smelt strongly of cleaners, had food in the fridge, and hair in the bed. My party went to the front desk and asked to check out and was told we'd be issued a refund.
After a week, no refund. Contacted Days Inn for an update and was told there was no such note made and since I booked with Expedia, I would have to contact them. I did, they attempted to reach out without success and told me there was nothing more to do. I reached out to Days Inn again, (June 18th 2024) explained the situation and was told a manager would issue my refund within 48-72 hours. 72 hours later, no refund. Called hotel and was told the people I spoke with before lied to me and there was nothing they were going to do for me since I booked with Expedia. I reached out to Expedia again, gave them the story, they called and were told that none of my refund would be approved by Days Inn, end of story. I will never stay at another Days Inn, regardless of location.
