Better, I suppose, if you get the deluxe room
Don't get the budget room. Hardly room for the bed, none at all for sitting or walking. The table is propped in a corner on two legs. Touch it and it wants to fall over. Minuscule shower, don't even think about washing your feet. Two electrical outlets, one high up on the wall opposite the bed with nothing to support what you've plugged in unless you have a very long cable and want to risk the table; the other behind the bed. The outlet is not securely attached and often falls from the wall. And if you move in your sleep you will turn the lights on in the room. The light switch is in the same housing as the outlet. Meager breakfast, not the usual copious Italian fare. But the location was perfect. Two minute walk to the bus and you're in Venice in fifteen. A ten minute walk to the train station. If you stay here, spend the extra and get a better room... I suppose.

We emailed them to cancel our reservation. It took several days before they response and we ending up we didnt get the refund....The customer service is very poor. I would not recommend this place 👹

Tivemos problemas na chegada. O check in inicia-se às 15:00 horas (tarde se compararmos com outros hotéis) e o check out deve ser às 10:00 horas (cedo em relação aos demais). Chegamos às 14:15 horas. Fui cumprimentar a senhora que estava na recepção e ela, friamente, me disse que eu tinha que aguardar o horário do check in ao lado de fora do hotel (!!!) porque o chão estava sendo limpo e eu não poderia pisar ali (!!!) e nem era possível deixar as malas na recepção. Nunca vimos isso em lugar nenhum. Fomos ao supermercado e voltarmos no horário do check in. A moça que nos atendeu também não fez questão de ser simpática. Nos deram um quarto de solteiro, com camas separadas. Liguei na recepção, pedi para mudar de quarto mas ela nos disse que não era possível devido a lotação. O banheiro era de acessibilidade. Nada contra, porém, a ducha era para cadeirante daquelas que só se usa com a mão. Meu marido teve que improvisar e apoiar a ducha no porta shampoo para usarmos como chuveiro. Como o jato era fraco, não puder, se quer lavar os cabelos. Café da manhã ok, porém, a senhora que fica nessa área tratava os hóspedes com constrangimento não permitindo que se sentassem em qualquer mesa, tinha que ser na que ela queria. No segundo dia eu também fui impedida de sentar na mesa que escolhi. Ela não deixou pois estava ajeitando as mesas para o jantar (!!!). Hotel horrível, staff horrível, instalações horríveis! Não recomendo!!!

Thought I was booking in Venice. It not clean the bathroom and room smelt like discussing smoke. It did not look like the photos at all do not book. The only thing nice was the hotel staff. In a horrible area.

Staff disinterested. Walls need painting. Cracked main window in foyer. Breakfast poor. Rooms very small. Not very clean, although linen was alright. Only good thing, was ten minute train ride into Venice.

Being Abused
We arrived about 12PM, before check-in time, but the front door was open. No one at desk and lobby empty. The maid appeared and only spoke Italian, indicating that the check-in was at 3pm. We and 2 other ladies, who had just arrived were trying to communicate to her that we should at least leave our bags in storage. She then called someone, and another woman arrived from the hotel across the street. She was speaking in Italian, and all I understood was "partir" and POLICIA! I didn't need a dictionary to understand that she threatened to call the Police if we did not leave! Then she said in perfect English, "If you don't respect the rules, I have to call the police. You cannot stay in the lobby". We didn't expect to stay in the lobby for 3 hours, just wanted to store our bags until check-in. She finally “generously" allowed us to leave the bags at the opposite hotel (4 Euros) and come back later to check in. A waste of a day. Checking out, the clerk didn't even look up from his desk, but Grunted when we dropped off the keys. Every hotel on our extensive trips to Europe has either allowed us to check in as much as 3 hours early as the rooms were readied, or, allowed us to store our bags..FOR FREE! So check the reviews. So,If you want a pretty crummy hotel, that offers NO service, and is willing to waste your whole day, then treat you like a piece of dirt upon leaving, then the City of Art Venice Lloyd hotel is for you, unless you like losing time and money, then go elsewhere

Reception and dining room very nice spacious and airy. Our room was basic but absolutely fine. Small shower but also fine. Breakfast very good. Ideally situated for Venice Menstre rail station. 200 yard walk. Good value all round.

I knew check-in was at 3pm but i arrived at around 1:30pm expecting at least someone to be manning the desk to store my bags like in every hotel i have been to, so i could go to venice central and check in later......but no. I waited around till 3pm in the heat. As for the the room..where do i start?. It was soooo tiny, the only table in the room was narrow and shaking. The only way i could charge my phone was to make a makeshift table using a chair and putting my suitcase on top then place my phone on top because the wall plug was on the otherside of the room...very bad room design!!!!. Little ventilation in the bath room with flys all over the room. The room had a feeling of a underground bunker. As for hotel food you had to go across the road to another hotel to dine. Only postive was it was very close to venice mestre stn where you get a train to venice central or the aerobus to both venice airports.

Reception looks good but rest of hotel needs a refurb. Our room (queen size bed) was clean but like everywhere else would be better after repainting. We could see other rooms had problems with window blinds that had not been fixed for months. Breakfast choice was poor but quantities ok. Overall - cheap but not too cheerful.

The location of this Hotel is excellent for those looking to visit Venice and the surrounding area. The hotel is very dated with small unattractive rooms. The air conditioning unit made a noise and that was about it, in fact it warmed the room

Pros for location, 24h front desk (what appears to be out of the place in Italy) and helpful service. Apart from that not much to say: claustrophobically small room, cracked walls, awful bed and a rotten by mushroom bathroom.
