This property has a very short check in window, but they do attempt to contact you via WhatsApp. If you don’t have internet there are no other options. There was no one at the property when we arrived around 9pm, nor when I was leaving. And the elevator from the 3rd floor didn’t work at 5am (yes, people have flights at this time) although it is there. The rooms are tiny and you can hear how your neighbor is sneezing. The shuttle that is mentioned in the listing is also available only at certain times. 15 min walk to the airport that is also mentioned doesn’t look like a walk. At least not the one I would attempt with a suit case. Towels looked clean but a bed had someone’s hair on it and there were ants on the floor. Over all, I would not stay here any more, only as a very very last resort. Not longer than a night before the flight.

Small hotel near the Venice airport. Good stop over location for our transfer to Cortina next day. Only one restaurant was open in the walking distance for dinner and later next breakfast. Room in the hotel is rather simple and small.

Great spot close to the Airport. Close to bus stop in to Venice as well. We had to leave @ 4 in the morning for our early flight. Easy 18mins walk to terminal. (A small part of it has no pavement, but not a problem as traffic is slow & road well lit) Perfect for our needs.

We loved staying here. It was quiet and clean and comfortable and we were able to walk to the airport. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. We had to leave early before the breakfast was served and they went out of their way to make sure we had something to eat before we left.

Uncomfortable bed (could feel springs). Unimpressive bathroom (shower head leaking all over and outside shower area, had to use towel to soak up all the water on the floor). Not worth the price charged of CDN$200. Also, there is NO SHUTTLE to airport. Read the fine print! They only offer shuttle FROM airport to the property and only during a short time period. I don't think they should be advertised as "shuttle available" on the Expedia and Booking sites because it's really not. I would imagine that most guests who stay there are travelling FROM Venice airport so for all practical purposes, the property really does not offer shuttle service. The taxi cost is 15 Euro of which about 7 is an airport surcharge. So unless you plan on walking to the airport, may as well stay in one of the other hotels that are further away from the airport.

1 night beside airport
Great if you have a flight in the morning. Very easy to walk to airport. We had a lovely meal in a restaurant across the road. If was v busy. We ate breakfast in a little cafe just the airport side of the accommodation across the road. Guest house has all you need for 1 night. Bed good and ac. Staff lovely.

We left for the day when we can back our balcony door was off the hinges and our room was wide open no one was on premises to help and they were less than friendly getting someone there to fix the door and couldn’t understand why two women traveling alone would be upset about someone having been in their room while they were away it was fixed so we spend the night but it was not a comfortable solution

Great place to stay if you have an early morning flight from Marco Polo Airport (14 minute walk) and for accessibility to Venice by bus (No. 5). Best thing for us though, was the very friendly welcome that we received from the staff. I think that it was Luana that welcomed us and she was very helpful - we had lots of questions and she answered them all!

The room was terrific, spacious, well designed, very clean, quiet. However, the place has no amenities whatsoever, despite website descriptions and even onsite signage to the contrary (unless you count the vending machine). There are places close by for coffee, drinks, meals, etc., but it takes little figuring out – there is no information except a vague sign in the (otherwise empty) lobby. The airport is close but a treacherous walk; the taxi ride is €20. Still, it was quite comfortable for the night before our flight.

We left for the day sightseeing and when we got back the door to the balcony was open and off the hinges as two women traveling alone we felt very uncomfortable staying even though they came and fixed it! We booked this because it was close to the airport. They will pick you up when you arrive, but they don't take you to the airport. The bus was going to be 10euro each and a taxi was 20euro. But it only took 14 minutes to walk to the departure terminal. So that was great. Save yourself the money and walk there.

Kudos to the staff for the service prior and during our stay. Staff accommodated our after hours arrival with not a problem. They provided detailed instructions of how to enter the hotel and to access our room. We had a problema with the AC, but hotel staff arrived to our room and were able to solve the issue. Our room was bigger than expected, clean, tidy and likely recently renovated. I was surprised of their modern building’s management system which control lights and AC in our room. The location is 20 minutes by bus (#5) to Venice and 12 minutes walking distance to the airport. There are a couple of restaurants across the street. If you like a quiet and nice looking place with a short commute to Venice and not too far away of the airport, House Bella Onda is a great place to stay.
