An excellent, dog friendly, Port in a storm
I was very happy with my stay. I had to evacuate my home ahead of a hurricane and drove across the state to the Hilton Garden Inn, Port St. Lucie. I arrived very early and I was given early check in. I brought my dog and that was not an issue. The whole hotel is exceptionally dog friendly. The lobby is large with ample seating. The restaurant has good food. The room was comfortable and spacious. The grounds have a lot of grassy areas perfect for walking ones pet.

Very beautiful property. My 2 complaints are that one, they put the charge in twice with my card so $350 was held for a full week before finally clearing my bank account for the actual amount of $125. I think that’s a little excessive, and was inconvenient to have that much money held from my account, especially since we were on vacation and didn’t plan for that. Two, I reserved a room for 5 people, and was given a room with 2 queen beds and told that was plenty of room for 5 people. It definitely was not. Thankfully they gave us a rollaway even though they said they weren’t supposed to due to fire hazards.
