Cool, clean ocean air!
This VRBO is located on the upper floor of a house and provides wonderful ocean breezes - a welcome respite to the smoke in Calgary. The few days the wildfire smoke drifted in to Victoria, we used the air purifier that the owners provided. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen and the recommendation of a seafood company from Campbell River that delivered product to the door. It was fabulous to prepare Halibut, Salmon and Spot Prawns while watching hummingbirds play in the trees outside the kitchen window. Thank-you Colleen and Tark

Clean, convenient, & "homey"
This is an entire upstairs of a house (with a separate entrance). It has everything we needed (well stocked kitchen, TV with lots of extras, comfortable bed, washer & dryer, granite counter tops) and is only about 250 yards from the ocean. The owner(s) are wonderful people. I would highly recommend this property and will definitely stay here again if I am able.

GREAT location!
Cambridge by the Sea was in a beautiful neighborhood and close to everything we wanted with easy access too! We walked(and drove all the way around the area) Dallas Rd which is 1/2 a block away often to enjoy the ocean, seabirds, seals, to watch para-gliders take off, kite flying, and to enjoy the stunning views it provides! Beacon Hill Park was also steps away and so lovely! Fisherman's wharf is not far away, where we enjoyed gluten free fish and chips(Barbs and the Fish store), a trip out to see the orca and humpback whales with Eagle Wing tours(5*), and much more! The unit was lovely and quaint, yet very updated. It was a really super launching spot for us! The bed and even the sofa bed our son slept on, were very comfortable- so important in a VRBO! Also we greatly appreciated having many towels and a few extra pillows! Only suggestions: add a coffee grinder for us coffee lovers:), and a large non stick fry pan for pancake type meals. Other than that, it's all there! Thanks for a great place to stay Colleen and Tark. Sorry we didn't meet you Colleen. maybe next time:).

Home Away from Home
This is our 2nd time here and we feel like we are at home. The location is close to downtown, grocery shopping, walking trails and the many other amenities that Victoria has to offer. This 1 bedroom apartment has everything that one would need to live comfortably in a location far from home - Washer & dryer and dining room space for entertaining . The owner Colleen is available when needed and she makes you feel most welcome - we enjoyed homemade cookies and some Easter treats! We cannot wait to return at a later date.

A beautiful property in a fabulous location - near the water, near huge park, near downtown
This property was terrific. Very comfortable. With everything that we want when we are travelling. Comfortable bed. Good reading chairs. Washer and dryer and dishwasher that are very quiet. Lots of plugs for our chargers for phone, ipad, etc. Good parking. Great walking in all directions. Loved it.

A Wonderful Experience
Colleen and Tark provided us with one the best holiday experiences we have ever had. The location provided easy access to beaches, hiking, restaurants, downtown, the YMCA, Peacock Billiards :) and highways 1 and 17. Additionally; we found the WiFi provided good connectivity to our Calgary based work networks. The suite and its furnishings was of the highest quality affording the most comfortable of stays. Colleen and Tark were the best of hosts providing complimentary wine, an introduction to the Victoria folk scene and informal tours of nearby beaches, parks and neighborhoods. We will fondly remember the conversations, meals and beverages we enjoyed with Colleen and Tark. We are grateful for the time each invested in our stay. We would recommend Cambridge by the Sea to anyone. Regards Darcy And Lorraine

Victoria Gem
We stayed at Colleen's and Tark's beautiful suite in December, 2016. We thoroughly enjoyed it. It was situated just 1/2 block from the oceanfront Dallas Road, and was just 2 blocks from the vibrant Cook St. Village. The spacious 1 bedroom suite was tastefully decorated and fully-equipped with its own laundry. Colleen and Tark were very welcoming hosts, what with fresh flowers, homemade wine, and even home-baked goodies for Christmas. A wonderful way to spend a month in Victoria.

A slice of heaven in Victoria!
Coleen Hamilton's exquisite apartment is everything the site shows and way more than it shows. The apt is spotless, modern, chic, with lots of light and kitchen equipment I'd kill for at home. The kitchen allowed us to have exquisite meals out at lunch and cook in during the evening. My sister and I turned the apt into a two-bedroom easily by using the sleep sofa in the living room. And Coleen is the ultimate vrbo host, helpful without being invasive. We knew she was downstairs if we needed her, but we never did--passed her once the entire week and she was kind enough to give us a restaurant suggestion. We adored Victoria itself, but the benefit of being in the Dallas Road neighborhood cannot be overstated. The views a half-block from the house of the Straights of San Juan de Fuca are glorious--never tired of viewing them. Walked the neighborhood path with the locals and their dogs every day and never tired of it, both morning and evening, with coffee or even a mug of wine. Plenty of benches and friendly Canadians. I would love to return to this very place and stay a long, long time! The sea beckons . . . The only reason I might not recommend the property is that my friends/family might 'steal' it from me! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Loved, loved, loved it! Thank you, Coleen, for sharing your beautiful home with us--it is obviously a loved space. Also, the Cook Street Village shops and restaurants are an additional bonus--and walkable.

Charming apartment in a period home. Steps from the sea and village.
We had a terrific experience with the owners. They went above and beyond to meet our needs. We now consider them friends. The apartment was lovely and just as described. We have already booked for next year.

Lovely, well-appointed suite with a fabulous location.
We were fortunate in having picked Cambridge by the Sea for a four week rental March 31 to April 27, 2016. The suite is a large one-bedroom unit and also includes a comfortable sofa bed for extra sleeping. The fully equipped kitchen (including a variety of condiments and basic grocery items) was useful in preparing home-cooked meals and snacks and a large dining room accommodated 6 easily. The brand-new mattress in the master bedroom was luxuriously comfortable and the large living room with flat-screen TV and electric fireplace was lovely for lazy evenings after a full day exploring all lovely Victoria has to offer. The location was superb. Walking distance to downtown, Fishermen's Wharf, Beacon Hill Park. Cook Street Village and the Dallas oceanfront is only a few steps away. I highly recommend this property for a long (or short) term stay. The owners live on the main floor of the property and invited us to enjoy their magical garden. The purpose of this trip was a house-buying expedition and we were successful so I will be calling Victoria home in a few short weeks, but I will definitely recommend Cambridge-by-the-Sea to visiting family and friends in the future.

The perfect Victoria pied a terre
We could not have been more comfortable than we were staying at this lovely apartment. We loved the proximity to the ocean, Beacon Hill Park, downtown. Every day the first thing we did was to look towards the ocean and the Olympic Mountains and every day for more than two months it was different. We experienced some amazing storms, lots of rain and greens we miss terribly. We have been travelling in an old Campervan for the better part of 18 months so stopping here was luxurious. We would highly recommend this apartment in a terrific location and return ourselves in a heartbeat.
