Hotel Royal is in the heart of Vienna right next to St Stephens Cathedral. It has two wonderful restaurants, one on the top floor with a roof top view of the city and cathedral. Our room was clean and comfortable with a well stocked mini bar. The front desk and bell staff were friendly and helpful. There is a taxi stand right outside the hotel and the best shopping in Vienna is just steps away!

Excellent hotel, walkable to most major attractions. The hotel restaurants are super, wonderful breakfast buffet. The hotel staff go out of their way to ensure guests have a great stay. I would definitely stay here again!

Located in tourist central, so there was noise from the street till the wee hours. Near the U bahn so that was convenient. Daniel at the front desk was truly helpful and pleasant.

I have stayed at this hotel annually for about the past 8 years. No more. It is so noisy it’s impossible to rest. Teens gather outside smoking and talking. One of the front desk clerks a woman was considerably rude. Seems like the old staff has gone. Too bad.

Great location. Staff was helpful. Room was good and bathroom attached was lovely. Italian Restaurant attached on ground floor was quite adequate. If you are too tired to look elsewhere, as I was that evening, it’s a quite decent place to land. This hotel is all about great location…. Close to train, Opera House, shopping, etc.
