Check-in was easy, the rooms were clean and comfortable, there was a nice breakfast served every morning, the staff were super friendly and easy to talk to, the yard around the hotel made it easy to see the aurora borialis as the hotel is away from any commercial lights. We all loved staying at The Volcano Hotel and encourage others to check it out.

Close to the town of vik and the black sand beach. Nice that the rooms had nespresso machines, even though we did not use it. Expensive for what you get though: just a basic room and bathroom that is far from luxurious. However, it was clean and adequate for sleeping in. I did appreciate that it included breakfast, but it is a very basic one.

Nice hotel. About 15 minutes drive from Vik. Nothing else around the hotel so quiet. The room was large with a good view. It was very expensive however, and not as ‘value for money’ as some of the other places we stayed on our trip.

The hotel is small, modern, well equipped and the lady at the check in was very nice. We didn’t know that dinner should have been reserved but she was very kind and made us a wonderful meal. We would recommend this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

This was a really cute small hotel. Do not let the outside fool you, it's really clean & cute. The breakfast was decent and the staff was nice.

Nice hotel with free breakfast which is very convenient. Breakfast is tasty with fresh scramble egg made by a hard working staff. The rooms are with central heating so if you feel cold, you can’t adjust the heat.

The hotel is around 6 mins drive from the town, it is quite at night and I had a good sleep at night. Room is spacious and comfortable, the host is friendly full of enthusiasm. I had a wonderful experience during my stay.

Sara, who did everything at the hotel, not only cooked a great, inexpensive (by Iceland standards) but provided us with invaluable information for sightseeing in this breathtaking region.The place is not much to look at from the outside but the experience was outstanding. I could not recommend it more highly because of Sara!
