This property is not in town so those who want to be in a private location will love it as much as we did. The rooms are clean, really comfortable bed, and the owners are so helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend Viking Lodge Motel

It’s an excellent location, with wooden fixture and excellent dinning facilities at out door. You can see, swim and enjoy your time. Staffs are excellent, helpful and we’ve have.

Nicely maintained, rustic property. Room just big enough for luggage. Access via a gravel road, bumpy at times so take it slow. Roughly half hour drive to sites like L’Anse Meadows, restaurant. Self serve breakfast with homemade muffins, yogurt, cereal with a nice orchard. Recommend berry ice creams at Cafe Nymphe, and dinner at The Norseman for an upscale night out.

Property around units need to be trimmed. Road leading into property desperately needs grading, although not the fault of the owner.

Nice, clean, well maintained rooms with lots of space. Very relaxing space with a big yard on the water. You can term that a good effort was made building this place. The continental breakfast has a good selection of store bought items. Never met anyone from the property (even check in was just a note with keys), despite seeing owners management (?) around from time to time sorting out 4 night stay. They seemed to be avoiding contact which felt a little odd. The outdoor hot tub was empty.

It’s just what the doctor ordered. A quiet spot close enough everything without the noise of being in town. The owners were wonderful. We’ll be back.

While the hotel was clean and had a nice view and a decent continental breakfast, the room was crowded, not air-conditioned and had only a small window and a ceiling fan. We were lucky that we were not there in the worst of the heat wave. The location was out of the way as well and we had to drive some distance to find dinner

Excellent property. View was to die for. Only complaint was a 3 km drive down a gravel road to get to their location. Had to drive very slow due to all the potholes.
