Can’t wait to return!
Such a beautiful place to stay. The apartment was spotlessly clean and the bedding was a lovely crisp cotton. Great cooking facilities and every cooking utensil we needed. Very peaceful and quiet location.We drank of an evening in the 4 local bars and they also had Happy Hour from 3-6pm. We used Uber Taxis and they were very cheap and well recommended. Overall a wonderful 5* Experience!

A lovely family stay
We had a lovely week with our 2 small children at the Old Village. It’s a good 25 minute walk to the Marina but even out of season, it proved a lovely base for us to enjoy a few days of sunshine. The property is great for families but perhaps not the easiest with pushchairs so a little more difficult to navigate with smaller children.

Great walking location to marina
Great location not far from the marina and all within walking distance. Accommodation just what we needed and although a little chilly as it was December they had catered for this

Stayed in a Studio, which was pleasantly furnished and reasonably roomy but unfortunately had no outside space for sitting or eating which was a huge disappointment. The literature in the room stated that there would be no cleaning at the weekend and it would be carried out every other day which turned out to be Monday and Wednesday only despite us staying from Saturday to Saturday. The toiletries which were to be provided turned out to be one small shampoo, a small bodywash and a small bar of soap at the start of our stay and were never replenished. All in all whilst the complex was pleasant we did not feel that it was worth the 120€ per night we paid.

Old Village Family trip
Overall a good trip, moved from 1 accommodation due to not meeting our requirements. Staff very helpful and glad that it didn't effect holiday. Old village is a lovely area that suits family's. The choice of 2 pools helped keep the kids entertained. 15 mins walk to beach and marina to enjoy day or night.

We had been to Vilamoura numerous occasions but first time staying in Old Village complex. Nice complex clean garden kept nice.verh disappointed to expect to pay for sun lounger at pool when staying on complex.staff at local shop weren't that friendly.Requested late check out at apartment day b4 our departure and cost I was told was €50 to be paid in cash only.we went out that evening and on return there was a note from the letting company to say we couldn't stay in the apartment the next day and they would love us somewhere else after paying my €50 cash.they tried to say I misunderstood but there was no mention of moving at the time I requested late check out.again disappointed with having to move apartments.lights in park between Old village and vilamoura were no working so very dangerous for walking through.

Old village studio stay
Booked a studio apartment, very confined but clean, don't think I'd go for that again very noisy at night time. Staff at reception on arrival weren't that helpful, staff who showed to apartment were bit more helpful other than that had an enjoyable stay.

Lovely holiday, apartment had everything we needed but beds uncomfortable and propped up with wood blocks. Bathroom light didn't work. Had to pay for sunlounges everyday both morning and afternoon which we felt wrong as should be included in the price. Apart from this place was lovely, 3 swimming pools which were great. Pricey place to eat out at marina but would recommend The Brewery which was nest value and food was great.

Just like a real village
Our ground floor apartment was close to the restaurants and pools yet was quiet and relaxing. The pathways and gardens are colourful and well maintained. The whole complex was very clean with an army of cleaners, gardeners and security guards. The restaurants and bars were OK and we really enjoyed Princess Garden - the service and food was excellent. We also really enjoyed the bakery with delicious croissants and custard tarts. The supermarket was well stocked and was open from 8am to 8pm. The pools were extremely busy - we needed to either go for opening time of 9am, or leave it until late afternoon when beds became free. The pool bars were very good. Our apartment was well equipped and was cleaned daily. I think the apartments are individually owned and managed by different management companies, so that may mean a variation in quality. The apartments close to the bars could have experienced noise, but the security guards were there to ensure noise was kept down after midnight. We had a couple of maintenance issues, particularly the lock on the terrace door which had slipped making it difficult to open and further slipped so that we could not access our terrace until the specialist repair company could attend. The scrapes on the floor showed that this had been a long term problem yet we had to make a fuss to get it sorted. There is a travel company onsite that arranges taxi transfers and trips, and we found them very helpful. We would definitely go back to the Old Village

Great Apartment complex.
Everything is at the complex, from markets to bakery, to good restaurants all within an easy walk to Vilamoura and great beaches. The fish market and local farmers market is also an easy walk.

Great studio apartment
Spacious and bright studio apartment with everything provided, a bright clean kitchen and bathroom with a small sitting room leading out to a balcony complete with table and chairs and Sun lounges. the complex was very well maintained with beautiful gardens and three lovely pools.

Good Place to Relax
We arrived very late with the security guy giving us the keys. Lovely resort, good pool and eateries on the complex. Plenty parking. Close to the Golf course and local town. Small road train does a circuit taking you to the town. There are only two points I feel were negative. If any of your party has mobility issues, you can not access the communal areas as there are steps everywhere. Unless there were provisions I didn't see , a wheelchair would be impossible to use. My second negative is the charging for sunloungers around the main pool area. €3 a day or €1.50 for half a day. That is unacceptable. We were fortunate as our 2 bed apartment ground floor had garden access to the pool. The patio had 2 sunloungers. Room 20A

We'll be back!!!
We had a very pleasant long weekend in a decent sized two bedroomed apartment which had been tastefully updated during the last couple of years. The complex is within a 15 minute walk from the marina and it's restuarant/bar/shopping facilities. During our (early February) stay, only one bar was open in the complex. It offered a competive "happy hour" and a limited range of food options. We used the on-site "Rendezvous" restaurant on our last night - which happened to be hosting a "Latin Dancing" evening. The staff were very welcoming and the meal/drinks provided at an inclusive price (28.50 Euros) proved to be good value. The "Jefers" mini-market on the complex was able to supply most things and wasn't unduly expensive.
