Farmhouse Beach Home 2 Bdrm 2 blocks from beach!

Come and relax in this just renovated 2 bed 1 bath part of our home. The bedrooms, bathroom, TV room, and kitchenette seen in photos are on the first floor with two attached patios, a grill and outdoor dining. This beautiful lake front property sleeps 6 and is located in the historic Croatan neighborhood. Only a 3 minute walk to one of the best beaches in Virginia Beach. The VB Boardwalk and Oceanfront s only 1.5mi away. The owners/hosts stay upstairs.

This cute and cozy 2 bedroom part of our home renovated during the summer of 2020. Guests use the front door, there is a mini kitchenette with all cooking and eating supplies, breakfast bar that sits 4, 46" smart TV including HULU PLUS for live TV, and fast wifi. The property also features two large decks, one covered and one uncovered with a grill and outdoor dining table seats 6.

We stay upstairs with our dog Nala. Guests use our front door and we are readily available to assist and answer any questions or concerns guests may have. The thermostat is on our upper level but we are happy to make any adjustments to ensure a comfortable stay. We welcome everyone to our home and love to meeting people from all different walks of life and parts of the world.

Croatan neighborhood is one of the most beautiful and desirable neighborhoods in Virginia Beach. The house is an approximate three minute walk from the public beach and also sits as a lake front property to Lake Christine which is great for fishing, paddle boarding, or canoeing / kayaking. The Virginia Beach ocean front which is packed with dining, shopping, and nightlife is approximately 1.5 miles away. For a day away from the beach the property is also approximately 1 mile away from the famed Virginia Beach Aquarium and Marine Science Center.

Guests will be limited to two vehicles only that can be parked in the driveway. We ask guests to park on the left side one behind the other as we do share that space. The Virginia Beach Ocean Front is very bike-able. We recommend brining bikes in the summer as parking can be difficult and it will save on parking or Uber fare.

As of 2023 we are excited for offer guests a washer and dryer available upon request in our garage. We also supply 2 beach chairs and a beach cart.
No additional guests on the property than the ones included on the booking.

2 cars max per booking.

As this is a residential neighborhood in addition to a popular beach rental neighborhood please allow for quiet time after 10pm

High class accommodations in Virginia Beach
Chris and Cat's home is very high class in an affluent neighborhood just a few minutes from the strip. All the finishing touches in the home were top notch. The waves in the beach walking distance from the home were a too big for my kids so Chris and Cat sent us a different beach location where the waves were perfect. We are very impressed with their hospitality and highly recommend this VRBO.

I will start by saying that I considered not leaving a review because I want to keep this cozy beach house to myself ☺️. This was the perfect space for our family. It was so clean and felt cozy and comfortable from the minute we arrived. Everything we needed it had plus more. The neighborhood was quiet and the walk to the beach was less than 5 minutes. quiet beach retreat
Lovely home just a short walk from the beach. The 2BR was roomy enough for our group of 4 adults with a nice deck in the rear yard and covered porch in the front. The home had everything we needed to cook some meals in but is also a short drive from plenty of restaurants, breweries etc. The location is perfect away from the crowds of Virginia Beach but close enough to enjoy all the benefits. The owners live upstairs and were responsive if we needed anything but also not intrusive in any way. We also enjoyed biking in the area. thanks Cat & Chris for a great stay!

What the perfect spot to enjoy a beach getaway for the weekend! We all already want to come back again! Our hosts were amazing - sent us the checklist for easy check in/out process and a list of recommendations around the area. They are super helpful and communicative for any questions we had. The beach is short walk from the house which is just what we needed. The place was clean and cool (esp against the summer heat)! I highly recommend staying here! I know I will!

Beautiful Stay, Relaxing, and Local Vibes
Cat and Chris are amazing hosts. Kind and caring, they want you to enjoy your stay and experience the best that Croatan Beach has to offer. The farm house is rustic cool with beautiful wood floors, beam, and furniture. It’s tucked away at the end of the street, very private and calm. Beds are comfortable and the deck has water views, great for coffee or wine. Check in is easy, the unit is clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The walk to the beach is gorgeous. Beautiful landscaping in the neighborhood with a variety of exotic plants to see at different homes along the way. And the beach is a few mins walk from your door. When you stay here you feel like a local - relaxed, beach vibe. Croatan Beach is good for swimming for the kids and for beginner surfing. Our kids did a local surf camp and loved it. The location (Croatan) is minutes away from the Virginia Aquarium, and 5 to 10 minutes drive (or an easy bike ride) to Waterman’s restaurant. Cat has generously written a local guide to favorite restaurants and attractions. Be sure to try the fish tacos at Gringo’s Taqueria and garlic knots (homemade), mozzarella sticks (made from scratch), Chapel wings (fantastic) and pizza at Chapel Pizza. Both are a 5 to 7 minute drive away with a “hidden gem” and “locals” vibe. Back Bay brewery has foosball and bar games. I could go on but you get the point. Fantastic place to relax, easy access to all that VA Beach has to offer, but away from the crowds. Book it!
