Rent Somewhere Else
We traveled from up to six hours away only to arrive to a dirty rental. We understand this home is pet friendly, which is what we look for when we book any rental, but the odor upon entry was rough.
There was visible urine on the front of the loveseat and the carpet smelled horrible.
One of the bedrooms had a bed with broken slats which made that bed very hard to sleep in. Another bedroom had sand in the sheets.
The kitchen had food from previous renter's pets under the cabinet overhangs. Kitchen as a whole was dirty.
The rental property management was contacted, they offered to send the cleaners. However, with such a short trip, one day left in our stay, and most of the cleaning completed by us, we didn't see the purpose. The home should've been thoroughly cleaned upon arrival. I asked for a refund of our cleaning fee and I was advising someone from the property rental management would be in touch--this never happened.
The front sliding doors to the balcony had rain water seeping in causing water damage to the flooring in the living room. The living room has some drywall repairs and painting going on. It would have been nice to know this beforehand, so we did not spend our hard-earned money staying in someone else's repair zone.
The dog run was a very nice addition.
In conclusion, rent somewhere else. Lots of rentals and rental companies in this area. I would not recommend this location or this property management group.
