Stratford upon Avon close
Great place to stay for our visit to Stratford upon Avon as only a few miles out. Room good with view over tennis court. Only downside was we were told that there were only two times that we could have dinner so we went early and restaurant was empty!

Really disappointed. Checked in and had to rush out the property as we had an event to go too. Arrived back early hours in the morning, went to shower and the toilet along with the sink were blocked. Contacted reception, they moved to us a room where there was a crack in the window and the shower was leaking. The rooms are dark, stained carpets, and the standards are poor. I complained to reception, had to repeat my complaint and it was being wrote on paper. The receptionist didn't seem to care so I said I'll complain via Expedia instead. I appreciate it's not the Hilton but when your paying over £100 for a room, you expect better quality.

Great potential; lovely staff
The hotel was good value for money and close to Stratford. A few minor things were missing; I bath because of arthritis but the shower gel was out of reach without standing up. There was a very good supply of tea, but only one insignificant biscuit. Lovely location- I hope it does well.

Poor check in
Check in was highly embarrassing as I was told that we had not paid for 1 of the 5 rooms we had booked, despite being able to show a receipt from Hotels.Com. The discussion regarding the unpaid room was in front of another guest. This was only cleared up the following morning after referral to a manager & was a problem between the hotel & Hotels.com. The receptionist in the morning was helpful & apologetic.

Good enough for a one night stay
I booked a double room but there were two single beds pushed together which made sleeping awkward, as you would just slip between the beds. Plus the cleaner started to let herself in before check-out time which wasn’t ideal as weren’t dressed

The executive room was disappointing, in the evening the noise from a reception at the hotel was very noisy , very close to our room and did not finish until midnight. If we had been advised this was happening we would have cancelled our booking and stayed elsewhere. Have used this hotel several times before now will never use again.

Bathroom in need of attention. Bath had broken enamel and was quite rusty. Paintwork was in poor condition and looked like had been done by someone who had little clue as to what was needed. Also the card would not unlock the door after the first night, sorted at reception but then wouldn’t work again the next morning. It’s a shame really, could be a really nice place

Nice hotel, a bit tired in places but has a lot of potential, very young staff that could do with a bit of extra training and direction. Fabulous location, early check in, breakfast was lovely but some of the hot food was not ready. Could do with an extra member of staff to seat and inform guests about breakfast. Overall a lovely stay!

Fairly well kept property and room. Kettle in room has seen better days but functional. The breakfast could have been better managed. They were doing table orders (because of low occupancy I guess) but there was just the one person to manage everyone including take payments for folk paying on the day. Long waiting times and a poor experience as a result.

Awesome place, big rooms with all the bits you need for a weekend stay, great breakfast which set me up for the day, for me the only downside was the soft mattress, tho I do like mine hard.

Stay somewhere else.
The hotel obviously has different areas. We were in a block which was very run down. No lift either On arrival room was hot with broken air conditioning. We then had no electric and no hot water. On reporting on all the issues reception was uninterested. The have a card in the room saying WhatsApp us any issues. All these were ignored. Calls werent answered. Eventually electric was restored. No hot water inc shower all night. No apology or explanation until we complained in the morning. They did issue a refund but only when i asked for the manager. Room was outdated, stains on carpet,bed bery bouncy. It was clean otherwise. Wish we had booked elsewhere. Would have left if we could find somewhere else.

Leaving a negative review purely because the management aren’t really bothered about the guests. I stayed in room 70, all ok with the check in, room nice. However in the morning I opened the curtains and had the entire wooden Pelmet and curtains land on me. It struck my left arm and luckily did land on my feet due to the side table below. I informed the night porter on my early check out and they said they would get management to call me. Nothing. I called them to speak to management the next day and again someone said they would call me back. Still nothing. Incredibly poor given the circumstances and potential injuries if this was a child. Didn’t bother to see if I was OK. For context the pelmet was slid onto two brackets, no fixings in them and very heavy. Terrible design but they were informed.
