Great location, not far from a metro stop. Nice sized rooms. Roof top area is a nice place to rest during the warmer months. It closed during the middle of our stay - October 31st - was the last night. It was a great place to unwind after a long day. We had a crying baby in the next room- the walls were thick enough that we could sleep through it. I was surprised by that.

Flight was diverted due to an emergency on the flight. Missed checking in the first night. Had my husband call the hotel and he was told they would just cancel that first night but that they would keep the reservation for the second night. We arrived the next day. We had no reservation. They said someone cancelled the entire reservation and that we wouldn’t get a refund. So we had to book and pay again for that second night.

This is a great place to stay - affordable, clean, helpful staff, only about 1 mile from the National Mall or 2 stops on the Metro. I’d stay here again on my next trip to DC. The valet parking bundle with your stay is worth every penny. Parking is a challenge in DC, so having this available was wonderful. They had someone that helped us get all of our luggage out of the car, on a cart, up to our room and unloaded. Checkin went well and the staff member was knowledgeable and very helpful with information and directions. The only reason I took one star off is because we struggled to keep our room cool enough for our liking. We had 4 people in one room with two queen beds - it wasn’t very hot outside, but the room seemed to stay on the warm side even though the AC was on and running. Other than that, it’s the perfect place to stay.

Spacious, luxurious and an easy walk to The White House and Capitol building. Also loved that museums are free in DC! Just be sure to book your scheduled arrival time online in advance. We did the Smithsonian Air & Space museum.
