Solid choice for DC sightseeing
Pros: good access to Metro (Court House station on Blue and Orange lines). Direct Metro to IAD, easy change for DCA. Cleanliness of property good. Easy check-in and check-out. Free hot drinks in reception during the morning. Cons: housekeeping only every two days and even then not all consumables were replenished (had to ask for more toilet paper for example). Bedsheets didn’t fit the bed properly meaning constantly having to refit them, very annoying! Air con whilst very effective was also very noisy.

Check-in had a few hiccups.The first room we got either hadn’t been cleaned or wasn’t properly cleaned, so we requested a new one. Our second room was overall fine but the blinds were broken (they’re electronically controlled, like a thermostat?) so we went downstairs to get it fixed and they gave us a new room. The third room was clean, the blinds were working, and it even had a couch! No issues with the property after we had been settled into the third room. The area is walkable but beware that there are some steep hills. Bike lanes along the road in front of the hotel and most of Arlington. The property is also within walking distance of several Metro stations, but Court House was closest. Plenty of food and drink options nearby. Parking is $26 per day, so I recommend this hotel to anyone not bringing a car. This is the perfect destination for anyone wanting to get around via walking, biking, or transit.

In the center of the city and very close to everything I needed to do. Parking under the building was convenient, but an extra $25 per night. They do allow pets, which was great for me. Again the additional fee of $50 was a bit high, as I’m accustomed to paying much less at other hotels. I didn’t eat in the cafe-too expensive. I just had free coffee in my room. My room was very nice, clean and quiet. The AC in the hallways didn’t appear to be working too well as it was hot and muggy when you stepped out of your room.

I had a problem with my room the first night. It was disgusting and should not have been rented out. But I was able to talk to Grete, the manager on duty, and she put me in a different room that was much better. She was great, but the engineering staff, as I believe they were called, was slow and not helpful.

The staff was so amazing - helpful in every way, so kind and considerate. The breakfast bar was awesome. The room had every amenity we could ask for. Plus it was very spacious! I will stay here every time I’m going anywhere DC. Easy on/off to highway too!

The best front staff ever. I left my phone in a taxi cab and was obviously really upset because I really needed the phone. The staff calmed me down and told me they would do their best to retrieve the phone. Sure enough I received a call in my hotel room and was told they had reached the taxi driver and he was on his way to drop off my phone. Was I lucky to have the best hotel front staff in Washington DC going above and beyond to get my phone back to me. Overall great hotel.
