I arrived at the hotel and was immediately greeted by a very friendly front desk Agent, dropped off my bags as our flight arrived early. When we got back a few hours later that agent’s shift appeared to have ended and another young lady was checking us in, zero conversation, she did not really acknowledge me and had the most unpleasant look on her face. I thought that was the worst part of the trip, on Saturday October 26th we got back to the hotel from sightseeing and there was no electricity, elevators were not working and the hotel was in darkness, guests were advised by staff that the generator was old and cannot power the elevators, exasperated and tired I relaxed in the lobby for 2 hours, no communication from the staff, we were not even offered a bottle of water, instead we were told it’s $5. After 3 hours I had to climb 15 flights of stairs to get to my room on the 15th floor, there was no AC nor lights in the room, after being in the room for about 30 mins I went back to front desk and ask what’s the alternative plan, the agent replied “ we can give you 50% off tonight’s rate, that’s the best we can do or we can process a refund” mind you I booked 4 nights at the hotel and which was not cheap. I was appalled at the service, You can never get through to front desk via phone from your room, no one answers, complementary breakfast was the worst I have experienced…….housekeeping staff was great, but I would never go back to that hotel, I have stayed at over 30 hotels

This hotel looks nice when you walk in but the rooms are extremely old, the carpets are filthy and the bathrooms are dirty. There were dirty towels in the bathroom when I arrived and there were fake press-on nails on the floor. The last straw for me was a roach in the bathroom. I left immediately and went to stay at another hotel. I will never stay at a Hyatt ever again. A horrible experience!

Desk staff, concierge, and kitchen staff were outstanding. Our room was only cleaned once during the week, we asked politrly and it was still not done. Breakfast is outstanding, lots of options, clean and well supplied. Staff at breakfast were so helpful and friendly, DC restaurants are expensive and this hotel makes family trips much more reasonable with a large breakfast every day. Su way 2 blocks away was an easy walk.

My stay at this hotel was completely unacceptable, thanks to the behavior of the receptionist, Jameya Holder. She was shockingly unprofessional, outright refusing to give me a receipt for my stay, something that should be routine. Her aggressive tone and hostile attitude made the entire experience even worse. I’ve never encountered such rude and disrespectful customer service—absolutely disgraceful.

I completely hated the gps directions to get to yhos place. It gets you to the front on a busy highwsy with no way or help or explanations as to how to get to the actual place you use to enter and seek valet parking and assistance. Tried the hotel number to ask for directions at a parking lot only to get ignored lno answer. Figured it out myself and found out they dont serve anything but breakfast. It was lare i was going to nearby hospital to be eith family. It was not very lit to see at night at all to get into. They ONLY positive thing was the valet. Worth the cost in DC and he was informative moreso than the concierge.

Arrived and the receptionist was texting on her phone and it wasn’t until I said “excuse me” that she said “just give me one minute” she continued on her phone until eventually I walked away and she didn’t even try to stop me. I think the cleaning people forgot to wipe the bathroom shower was because there were a few shaving hairs on the wall and one long piece of hair. Parking is expensive $65 (as is everywhere) not included with the room. Other than that the stay was fine.
