Large studio close to metro in Eckington/Shaw

This private Studio apt is located in the heart of DC, close to everything DC has to offer, we are short 7-10min walk to the metro station and a 5min walk to over 10 restaurants within the area. It's a great spot for someone who just wants to enjoy the city for a few days. The unit is very warm and cozy and has a great gem of an outdoor space for enjoying the sites and sounds of the city. There is only street parking, however, you can park on either side of the street without restriction. The unit has a half kitchen, no stove but has a microwave and toaster oven for use. It has one full bath with a shower. Just 4 blocks from the Shaw/Howard U. Metro, this modern English basement apt., with high ceilings is a walkable spot to a gourmet grocery store, bars, restaurants, the Convention Center, and Chinatown. The home has exposed brick, just 5 metro stops to the White House, the Mall, and museums. The Shaw neighborhood is vibrant, constantly changing, and full of diversity and young people. 15 mins to Washington Hospital Center, Howard University Hospital, Children's Hospital, and VA Hospital Center. A great value with an experienced & DC-licensed host! I try to say hello at least once during the visit. In general, I give guests privacy unless there is a question. SLEEPS A MAXIMUM OF 2 ADULTS. Please feel free to ask questions.

First time in DC

I brought two energetic daughters to DC, and this suite was perfect for the three of us. Roydell had everything ready when we arrived - including extra snacks, coffee & tea makings, etc. You can tell he has done this before. The suite was clean and comfortable, a nice place to crash after busy days seeing the sights. The suite provides options for travel. We drove our vehicle, but there is a subway station nearby. An all-day guided tour was very informative and helped us solidify our plans for things to see and do. Then we bounced between the national mall area and the suite for the rest of our time in DC. It was great to have “tourist time” and then stop by a neighborhood grocery store on the way back for normal routines and food. Roydell is a great host - we’ll be back! Highly recommended!

Great little place for a short stay!

For never had been to DC before, I have to say we hit the jackpot with this VRBO. Located perfectly out of the way of the hustle of the city but close enough to Uber or rent a car to enjoy what the city has to offer.

O.M.G. I got lost at one point and not only did Roydel (manager) assist me bit he literally made certain that my stay was confortable and pleasant. There was water and a few treats. We loved our stay here. It was close to the Metro and easy to navigate. The Google maps took us to the wrong side of street because there is NW and NE in the same street. The studio apartment was cute and perfect for two. The host was very responsive to questions. We both really liked the shower as it was large and roomy.

For starters, Roydell allowed us to check in early as we were coming from the train, with our luggage. This was greatly appreciated! The studio was clean, stocked with essentials, very comfortable bed. We found it easy to walk or bike to the National Mall. Thank you for the positive interactions and perfect studio for our stay.

The location was perfect. Close to everything. Was cheap lift rides everywhere. The host was amazing. He lives upstairs so anytime I had a question or anything g he was available. I ended up having to have an important piece of mail overnighted there and he saw it come in and I asked him to please throw it inside. He did and sent me a picture. He is amazing. I can’t say it enough. Such a beautiful area as well. He keeps the home very well maintained and clean!!! Will be back for sure.

Roydell was great!

We had a great stay! Roydell met us, showed us around, provided some bottled water, snacks, kcups, and metro cards. He was an excellent host! The property was clean and well kept with an external door to the street. Our only struggle was the lack of thermostat in the space. We adjusted to the temperature though as it was not extreme, just different than our norm. It is a 10ish minute walk to the metro, which we used constantly while there. As our stay passed the walk seemed longer though 😂. We were able to park our vehicle on the street right in front of the property without any concern. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful stay!

Two of us spent 2 nights here and the place was perfect! Self-entry and an easy walk from the metro. The place is spacious and has everything needed including a full bathroom, fridge, dishes, shampoo and conditioner, and even water and kind bars :). The manager is very quick to respond. Highly recommend!

Great property, great host!

Everything in the apartment was as promised. Clean and well furnished, complete with water in the fridge and snacks. Perfect for the location with a short walk to Metro and Big Bear restaurant. We would definitely stay there again if we come back to DC.

Impeccable accommodations

Roydell is an outstanding host. The accommodations were very comfortable and incredibly clean. His attention to detail was absolutely incredible. He even left water and snacks for us when we our arrived. The towels are nice and fluffy and smelled amazing. In a very nice Central location close to many things. It was an absolute joy to stay. Our accommodation for our Washington visit was ideal for what we needed and in a very good location. Close to the Metro stations even though we just walked to most of our destinations. We had everything we needed, it was quiet, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom clean and we slept well.

Lovely Stay
