Eastern Market is the Capitol Hill neighborhood’s most popular business, and the main reason nonresidents visit the neighborhood. The market, located on 7th Street SE between Independence Avenue SE and C Street SE, is the nucleus for the Capitol Hill neighborhood and a popular destination for DC visitors. The market includes the South Hall Market where merchants sell fresh produce, baked goods, meats, and deli products. Fresh Tuesdays Farmers Market features local farmers’ produce, meat, and cheese. During the weekend the market promotes The Weekend Farmers Line where local farmers sell produce year-round and The Weekend Outdoor Market that includes local artists selling handmade arts and crafts. Eastern Market also offers The North Hall Event Space, an arts and community center, inside the market where locals can hold meetings, wedding receptions, and other events.
Locals frequent the market daily to buy fresh produce and meat. Eastern Market has been compared to a very European way of living with residents buying their daily meals fresh from the market. As a community hub, the market has become the focal point of the neighborhood.
Not too much further is Barracks Row, the city’s oldest commercial corridor, Barracks Row is steeped with history and home to oldest active post in the Marine Corps. Come explore the diverse dining and retail opportunities with over 30 local and national restaurant choices, local retailers and neighborhood services.

Other Things to Note:
You may note that our place is directly above the Hill East Burger restaurant, a Washington Post-recognized restaurant. We believe this lends to a unique yet classic DC living experience.
In case of any concerns about being above the restaurant, please know that the home has a vapor barrier installed in the floor of the room (2nd bedroom) above the kitchen below. We also have an air purifier in that room, as well as the mini-split, so air-flow is very good within the unit. The restaurant closes at 10pm on weekdays, and 11pm on weekends, noise should not be an issue at all during quiet hours.
In terms of any noise from the restaurant, it would only ever possibly consist of dull, practically inaudible sounds during normal business hours, and they don't play loud music, so excess noise has never been an issue.
Interaction with Guests:
While we offer self contact-less check-in for your convenience, we are only ever a message away should you need anything at all during your stay.
