I've stayed at the placemakr plenty of times with great experiences. This by far is my worst experience ever. When we got in the room the bed wasn't made and there were no towels or washcloths. When we addressed this with the front desk, they apologized and said they would bring more, they only brought towels.

The hotel was fine, but they have a contract with Advanced Towing, the notorious predatory towers in Arlington. With piles of snow everywhere from the recent blizzard, we couldn't find anywhere to pull over to find the entrance to the hotel. Advanced must have had a spotter watching: according to the receipt, they got us two minutes after we parked, while we were still trying to find the entrance to the hotel on the side of the building. It wasn't just the $190, it made us late for the event that we had come to DC to attend...hotel staff was very nice to give us free parking, but wouldn't try to resolve the tow with their client, Advanced Towing

I stayed here (Jan 9-10) expecting the strict "quiet & non-smoking" environment they advertise. Instead, my night was ruined by neighbors partying and smoking on the balcony, waking me up at 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM. Security failed to control the situation when I told them at 4am. The worst part was the management. After checkout, they ignored my emails for 11 days. They only agreed to a refund after I rejected a worthless voucher and threatened a credit card dispute. The hardware is fine, but if you have a safety or noise issue, you are completely on your own. Avoid if you value sleep.
