New construction apartment in rear of 1910’s downtown DC row house. Spacious living area designed in a private alley just minutes from two different metro stations, tourist attractions, Convention Center, and nightlife. Perfect space for a family visiting historic attractions, friends experiencing Union Market, Shaw and U St nightlife or someone doing business in the city. Apartment is for two people but you can bring 1-2 extra guests at an additional charge.

The area
 Second level apartment in the NoMa neighborhood, right in the center of Washington, DC.  Two and a half blocks from NoMa metro, half a mile from the Convention Center and 15 minutes walk from popular Union Market.  One mile from the US Capitol and the National Mall and super close to Chinatown, Logan Circle and Shaw. Lots of restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacy, and coffee shops just steps from the house.
 
Two bus lines located about a block of the apartment plus several rental bike stations.  There is also plenty street parking space.
 
Located on a main street but alley location provides for a quieter space.

Environmentally friendly new construction finished in April 2024. Second floor private apartment with private, alley-type entrance (no need to see the hosts but we are happy to assist you on anything). Modern apartment with high ceilings and lots of light.  Main area with a sofa bed (sleeps two children or one adult) and dining table that sits four people.
 
45 inches TV with Roku access to Netflix and other streaming services. Wi-Fi service exclusive for this unit.  24-hours security cameras.  Digital locks with unique combination for your stay.
 
Fully equipped kitchen, including full-size refrigerator, full-size stove and oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and washer and dryer. 
 
Bedroom includes a queen size bed and plenty closet space.  Beautiful and spacious bathroom with full size shower.
 
Independent guest-controlled cooling and heating.
 
Apartment comfortably fits two people but can accommodate afamily of four or a group of four friends. 
 
All furniture, kitchen items and linens and towels are new.
 
No smoking in the apartment. No pets please.

You will have complete privacy in the apartment, but also have the hosts available 24-7 in the main residence. Private entrance from the alley with security cameras around you. Digital locks provide for an unique passcode and no need to carry keys around the city. Unlike an "English basement", you'll have plenty of light, privacy, and quiet.

New Property
Located in NoMa neighborhood. This newly built property will only get better and better as the area gentrifies. Owner friendly and very responsive. Small but compact with all the essentials. Queen bed in small bedroom separated from main living area by pocket doors. Small sofa opens into a bed -- good for children, small for an adult. Small kitchen area, but well equipped. Very thoughtful utilization of space - all comforts of home included. Detached unit located above a garage, accessed by back alley. Quiet at night, within walking distance of many attractions. About 1/2 mile walk to Red Line/metro. Free street parking or pay for a garage spot through VRBO owner. Area is gentrifying, felt safe at night but wise to be "city smart." We were in town for a concert at the Capitol One Arena. Walked to and from as weather was nice (<1 mile). Some good eateries in close proximity of property. Overall, enjoyed our stay.

Within walking distance to just about anything
The property itself is very nicely done and was very clean! I did not need the amenities but had everything available for use! I was able to walk to several great neighborhoods and when it was time to return…super easy to get in and out of the unit with the door codes

Compact, comfortable and close to the National Mall
We only had two days to see everything we planned to see around the National Mall. It was a little over a mile walk which we did on NW Capitol Street. Christian is a very kind and helpful host. We liked having a washer and dryer if needed and the available garage sealed the deal. If we return to DC, we would stay again.

Nice little apartment in an up and coming area of DC
Beware of the google maps image that comes up when you put in the property address! It's old and doesn't reflect the gentrification taking place there. The apartment is small but very nice. Situated above a detached garage it provides a nice private place with a comfortable bed and all the amenities you could need. Christian was super responsive to my questions and took care of an issue with one of the AC units promptly. Easy walk to a metro stop an just slightly longer to walk to the Walter E. Washington convention center.

Clean, great location
We had an excellent stay here. The apartment was clean, well-equipped, and a smart design that made the most of the space. It had everything we could need — a good-sized fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, laundry machines, and extra sheets/towels. Christian was super responsive and attentive to any needs or questions we had. We had some troubles with AC, but he was quick to help us navigate them. It’s an excellent location in walking distance to the metro, grocery store, and great food in all directions. I hope to stay here again in future visits to DC.

Excellent Location, garage a plus
The apartment is small but well equipped. We had four adults, used a blow up mattress as well as pull out couch. Still left plenty of room to move around. Host was helpful and available for questions. The garage was a selling point for me. Car was protected, didn’t have to worry about finding parking on the street and close to rental. Parked when we arrived and didn’t drive again until we left. Will definitely stay at this property again when back in DC. Thanks Christian for a wonderful experience.

Great Hidden City comfort
The Host was great with communication and ensured all levels of comfort were met. For additional comfort and safety, the garage is also available for a more than reasonable charge! Will definitely stay again!
