Things were okay. My issues were having to pay for parking at the property and a television that was outdated, small, and not user friendly. Moreover, the room was much smaller than depicted on the website. Even though customer service was pretty good, I would not book again. I should not have to pay for parking.

The Washington Plaza Hotel is close to all the places I cared to visit in Washington DC. It's walking distance to all the areas around the National Mall and that was one of the main considerations for choosing to stay here. But I was also pleased that the hotel is very nice, clean, and the staff are polite and very helpful.

The outdoor pool was a great option. Lifeguard on site, restaurant in great proximity. Sets your hotel apart from the rest. I didn't know there was an exercise room.

Overall the hotel was nice. The queen room was fairly small. It does seem that some things are a little outdated, like the TV. It was the old style 32" TV, not the new flat screens that you see in most hotels and you can just tell it's an older hotel. The toilet was the commercial style that you see in public restrooms with the lever to flush. The toilet paper holder was in the worst place possible... behind you on the wall!! But, the bed was comfortable and the staff and housekeeping were realy nice! I would stay again if I had to.
