Beautiful 75 year old log cabin located on the North East end of Burt Lake in scenic northern Michigan.

Completely renovated and up to date situated on 80 feet of shoreline, our cabin offers four bedrooms and three new bathrooms.
Master bedroom includes a king size bed with whirlpool in the room. Cozy loft with a low ceiling is just great for kids.

A private dock provides easy access to your boat along with a private 2 mooring buoy.

1st floor road level:
Three beautiful bedrooms with 2 singles lake side along with and one large bedroom with 2 double beds. Queen size bedroom located road side.

- Livingroom
Spare Sleeper sofa may accommodate 2 extra guests for a total of sixteen people.

Kitchen - Fully equipped, including dishwasher, microwave, and stove.
Living room - entertainment a new Big screen TV with VCR and DVD Player.
Laundry room- located in walkout basement.

Bar area located in living room with its own Mimi frig.

Fire pit with fire wood, gas grill, picnic table, and 10 x10 sand box for the kids are all located lake side.

Activities: Boating on the Inland Water Way, horse back riding, skiing, hiking, hunting, fishing, Foosball in our game room and a shuffle board court are just a few of the many activities you can do at our cabin.

A private dock provides easy access to your boat along with a 2 private mooring buoy.
Cabin water front has a rocky shore the first 20 feet out then turns into a sandy bottom staying waist high for almost 100 yards. It’s excellent for younger kids 5 years and up who enjoy swimming.

We furnish a sand box for smaller children who want to play in the sand. Off the dock, kids and adults that act like kids will enjoy catching crawfish and minnows.

Boats can be rented at Indian River Marina for the week or the day.


Area: Cabin is located less than 22 miles to Makinaw, less than 25 miles to Petoskey, and 10 miles from Indian River Golf Club.

Riding stable is located ¼ mile from cabin just across the street from Hoppies Tavern.

Snowmobile trails are just 10 minutes away.

A great getaway
I picked this house because of the cozy looking living room. And it did not disappoint. A beautiful view from the living room was perfect to enjoy a cup of coffee on a chilly morning. A huge kitchen table where we puzzled and played games. The host and his helpers were very accommodating. The kitchen was well stocked.

Perfect Place
House had everything we needed to stay for the week. Great views ! Clean and comfortable for my whole family. House had great sunsets and we were lucky to catch the Northern Lights ! We brought a wakeboard boat and two jet skis which had solid moorings in the water and the boat ramp was just up the street.

Amazing memories with family
If you’re looking for a great family cabin on Burt lake, this is the spot. We spent endless summer nights playing games in the yard and swimming in the lake followed by bon fires and crayfish hunts. Host is easily accessible and house has so much stuff to make your stay enjoyable and lots of sleeping accommodations for big families. The house sits in a neighborhood- like environment close to neighbors but we had no issues

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was clean & comfortable. Each of the 9 ladies on our girls trip especially enjoyed having their own bed…no sharing! And 3 bathrooms were perfect! The property is spacious…enjoyed the fire pit, kayaks, and shuffleboard. Beautiful, clear lake for swimming. Chuck (owner) was very responsive to our communication efforts, and has a wonderful manager just a few houses away for any questions or situations that come up. I would go back anytime, and will be recommending the cabin to others.

Fabulous family get-away
The listing description and pics were spot on - not a bit of exaggeration. Well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, plenty of games and outside fun. Chuck and Gene were both super helpful and easy to contact. The lake was so beautiful and so were the sunsets We built fires, grilled, paddled, boated and swam. 3 couples and a toddler had more than enough space. We will be back!

Great week at the cabin
We had a great week at the cabin. The owner contacted us soon after we arrived to make sure that check in went smoothly and to let us know to contact him if any issues should arise…none did. The cabin was great for our family. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen isn’t large, but worked great for the several meals we ate there. WiFi worked well for the occasional kid’s videos we streamed. We appreciated the firewood that was provided for bonfires. We used the gas grill a couple nights and it worked well and was in great condition. We couldn’t have had a better week on Burt!

Wonderful Log Cabin
Our family of 6 adults and 3 children had plenty of room and comfort at this cabin. All of the amenities were provided to make our week very enjoyable. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was very functional, indoor and outdoor eating areas were great and a washer and dryer was nice. The grounds were great for activities and water access was good for boating.
