The hotel is on the hill, so be prepared for steep walking, if not by car. Hotel itself is quite modern, although not suitable for physically impaired persons-many stairs to climb and no ramp. The room was middle sized, good beds, but no air conditioning or fan, which was quite hard to bear in these high summer temperatures as even the night air was hot/window fully open. 2small complimentary bottles of mineral water in room, no tea or coffees, there was some vending machine past the lobby. Breakfast was good and plentiful, variety of pastries, jams, cereals, also eggs scrambled and boiled, ham and cheeses. Good selection of teas. Evening meal possible only in town, which is a shame as they do have the restaurant there, also Irish pub next door was closed. The hotel is near the town centre, where there is a castle and some restaurants and shops. Parking behind hotel was ok. Staff were friendly and helpful.
