We loved our stay at the Novotel. Easy access to all the shops, great that you had a lift in the hotel that went straight down to Lambton Quay. Rooms were tidy and clean and the hotel breakfast was amazing and such a great price. 1 adult eating and all the kids under 16 ate free. Dinner was also delicious. Great that you have the option to park in the public car park next door at $24 a day instead of valet parking in hotel for $40. Would highly recommend.

Check in was okay - efficient but not so friendly. The room was very dated, from the old carpet to the tired looking bathroom. Bed was extremely soft, which unfortunately didn’t suit us well. The lifts are ancient and doesn’t require a scan of the room key, so anyone can enter. The positives - great location, walking distance to most points of interests. 10 to 15 minute walk to Te Papa, Cuba Street. Buffet breakfast was pretty good and had enough options one wouldn’t complain.

Many guests were noisy throughout the night (i thought it was sound proof) so i informed the staff and they tried there best to sort it out but the noisy guests continued. Staff were very helpful and lovely. Room were cleaned but asked for the room to be cleaned and the cleaner didnt change linen just remade be which was disappointing. Would stay again.

Weekend trip
Novotel is in a great location, with the busling centre city at your finger tips but still quiet enjoyment. Service was great, food was enjoyable and the room provided much comfort. Room was spacious.
