You needn’t venture far with glorious countryside walks or cycle routes from the door along with a couple of good local Inns within a short distance from Otters Holt. The pretty town of Wellington is just a few miles away and offers a great range of independent shops, pubs and places to eat, as well as an award-winning park. Wellington was also named in The Times in 2021 as the 3rd best place to live in the Britain, and so is well worth a visit. If you do venture further afield you will be impressed by the abundance of great spots to visit, from the stunning natural beauty of Exmoor National Park to the wonderful Quantock Hills, and if fresh sea air is on your list the stunning North Devon Coast is within an hour’s drive and is ideal for surfing, kite surfing for the more adventurous!
The Jurassic coastline and picturesque seaside town of Lyme Regis with its independent shops, restaurants and fossil hunting opportunities is less than 1 hour drive. Further South the beaches and seaside towns of Exmouth, Sidmouth and Teignmouth are all within easy reach.
