Gimler Hotel was a great Wellington stay. The staff were friendly and even gave us short cut to main shopping district. The location was very central and the amenities in the room were great.

A great place to stay!
The Gilmer apartments are a great place to stay. It had everything we wanted & was very close to the CBD & the Quay. I highly recommend this as a place to stay in Wellington.

Early morning trash pickup, noisy exhaust fan in bathroom that ran in conjunction with the light switch sounded like a jet engine. The seating furniture was dated and tired (not comfortable). No heat or air controls and windows do not open.

All we could have wanted. Especially appreciated them sharing how to use the elevator in a nearby parking garage so we did not have to hike up the steep hill to get to the shopping area and the rest of the city.

Great Central Location and a Brilliant value.
Checkin was breeze. Steffen was courteous and extremely helpful. He showed us a map of the local area and a shortcut to the shopping center. The room was comfortable and the amenities were excellent. We were able to do a load of laundry accumulated from the road trip down from Auckland and have a couple of great nights of sleep. Will definitely come back.

Hard to get to, older, very small rooms, not enough comfy chairs for four people, and we had mistakenly thought there were two bathrooms. A room for two couples is tough with only one bathroom. Hallways are tight, emergency exits are not well marked and are not in the ends of the building.
